The Carob Tree B&B

Fabulous stay. Our lovely hosts and new friends Mathew and Clementa were very friendly and extremely helpful with places to see, restaurants, parking, directions, ferries etc. Our room and bathroom were spacious, clean and beautifully decorated, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a large walk-in shower. The breakfast and common area was also lovely decor and clean with tea and coffee making facilities available 24hrs and a great continental breakfast included. The excellent pool and terrace area was good for a refreshing dip and had sunloungers, umbrellas and garden furniture to relax. Quiet location on the edge of town, was convenient to Victoria town centre and easily accessible to sites, beaches around the island. If you're not driving the bus station is in Victoria town centre and cabs are readily available. We could have stayed in Gozo all week without the 2 day trips to Malta, so lovely.

Had an amazing stay at Carob, the owners were amazing, place was beautiful and clean. I would definitely recommend.

What can I say that hadn't been said before? This place is fantastic! Matthew & Clementine are the most caring & lovely hosts, volunteering sightseeing tips & experiences. I was able to walk just about everywhere (which surprised me) although I occasionally took a bus as it was so easy. As a solo traveller, I felt at ease, and loved the extra added touches eg fruit bowl, coffee/tea etc available. My room was large, with a balcony. Decor was elegantly modern & subdued. Breakfasts were varied & delicious. Didn't get around to using the pool. Recommended 100%.

The hotel is decorated beautifully and the service is fantastic. The owners are super helpful and will accommodate all of your needs. It was great we could use the kitchen throughout the day and it was in a nice quiet location, just a short walk to the centre of Victoria and a quick drive to the sea.

Fabulous family run hotel. The couple who run the hotel are really friendly and helpful. Hotel is well finished and spotlessly clean. Great view if you get one of the rooms with a balcony. It’s an easy 10 minutes walk into the centre of Victoria.

Adorable Guest House à Victoria crée avec beaucoup de goût par Matthews et son épouse il y a moins d’un an. Tout est impeccable et d’une propreté irréprochable. Les chambres avec très grande terrasse donne sur la campagne environnante avec, en dessous, le jardin terrasse et la piscine. Matthews est très réactif, et l’échange de mails avant ma réservation m’a convaincu de son sérieux. Très bon petits déjeuners et le percolateur est à dispo toute la journée pour se faire un Expresso à la piscine ! Matthews donne tous les bons conseils pour se déplacer dans Gozo, choisir un restaurant ou faire une visite. L’île de Gozo est minuscule et donc les déplacements sont très faciles, taxis ou bus. Mais pour aller au Carob Tree c’est taxi obligatoire car il n’y a pas de bus à côté mais c’est pas grave car les taxis à Gozo ne sont pas chers. Pour cela prendre l’appli Bolt ( qui est la plus performante sur Gozo) et choisir règlement en espèces en ouvrant son compte comme cela le prix de la course sera celui convenu lors de la commande … alors que Uber n’ouvre on compte que si on joint une CB à l’ouverture et donc si le chauffeur se perd Uber vous débitera du double en se moquant du prix convenu et sans aucun moyen de recours ( 2 fois la 1ere journée à Gozo !!!) Séjour très agréable. Matthew et sa femme sont de très bon conseil pour votre voyage sur l'île de Gozo. La maison est vraiment très agréable et reposante. La chambre est magnifique. Petit dej au top aussi. Merci pour tout !

Hôtes très sympas et prêts à donner plein de conseils. Toujours disponibles. Hotel neuf avec une belle piscine et des chambres spacieuses. Petit déjeuner très correct. Fruits et café à disposition toute la journée. 20min du centre ville à pied.
