Villa Ketty Resort

I wish that I could give more stars to this beautiful family-owned resort. Antonio, his wife and family and Fernando have excelled themselves in providing a unique experience of a homely, relaxed stay combined with 5* facilities, rooms, food and location. The delicious homemade breakfasts were deserving of Michelin stars and the kindness, hospitality and care made us feel so special. We raise a glass of excellent Villa Ketty wine Antonio pressed into our hands as we were leaving and still dream of this part of paradise!

We went to Vico Equense for a week to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and to see the Giro D'Italia cycle race that was coming through the town. I had read the reviews of Villa Ketty so we had high expectations and believe me our experience did not disappoint! Because we had an early flight we were in Vico Equense by mid-morning, not a problem so someone came to pick us up and we were given a coffee & pastries by Antonio the resort owner whilst we waited for our room to be ready. The room was spotlessly clean (the cleaner comes round every day) and was really spacious, there is a seating area with a TV (this came in handy for the 3 days of torrential rain that we unfortunately had), a large bathroom with shower and a large bedroom, also with a TV. There is a kettle in the room with a selection of teas and a fridge which was handy for drinks and cold food. We were in room 19 which has a large balcony overlooking the Bay of Naples and the town. The balcony also has a lemon tree that gives off a lovely scent in the sunshine. In the evening we were driven into town by Fernando, after popping to Conad supermarket opposite the restaurant we ate in Pizza a Metro which is owned by Antonio's family. We were able to order food from the restaurant on some other evenings to eat at the resort, Fernando would take our order, pick our food up and set the table. Dinner on the balcony at sunset over the bay is a magical experience! Everything we ate from Pizza a Metro was great-the Mozzarella Alla Caprese, 1/2 metre of pizza ragu and Delizia di Limoni di Sorrento were definitely my favourites..... The breakfast at the resort is as fantastic as other reviews suggest-an amazing range of cheeses,home made quiche & preserves, fruit, olives, salad, salami,cereals, cakes & pastries, coffee & various teas all served with a smile by Antonio and Denise. Antonio had made some suggestions about where to visit and we had intended on going to Herculaneum, unfortunately the bad weather put paid to that (an excuse to come back though.....) Fortunately on the day of the cycle race the good weather was back so we were able to see the riders come by through town and down the road at the bottom of the resort from the balcony. We hadn't been to a live race since before the pandemic so it was great to see a race again and all the razzmatazz that goes with it. That evening (our last for our holiday) we attended a pizza party in celebration of a wedding that was to take place in the near future. What a fun night we had, we ate several pieces of pizza ( I was too full to be able to eat any of the Nutella pizza at the end sadly), we tried to sing along with songs in Italian and played the tambourine with gusto-it's an evening I will never forget! So to sum up, the resort is delightful, the staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble, I've never come home from holiday feeling so relaxed. Villa Katty is a fantastic place to spend your vacation in Italy. It was the best travel experience I've ever had, and they treat you like family. The room had amazing views, and breakfast was made by the owner (imagine you have fresh mozzarella, ricotta, eggs, olives, etc that were grown at the Villa and cooked for you). Fresh and delicious fruit and several types of pies. They also made a homemade dinner (3-course pasta one night and pizza on another night): excellent service, food, accommodation, views and pool. If you can imagine paradise - this is it. We drove there by car, but it’s just a few steps from the train station, so easily accessible from Napoli. I highly recommend this hidden gem. Thank you, Antonio and team, for such warm hospitality!

Wow. My husband and I visited for our honeymoon. We booked this resort solely off good reviews, but we were completely blown away by just how amazing this place is. When we first arrived, we tried walking from the train station but the GPS took us in the wrong direction. We called the resort and they sent a staff member to come and get us. Turns out, the resort is on a steep hill, but the staff have absolutely no problem transporting you to/from the train station. The resort is also located in a much quieter area than touristy Sorrento, which was perfect for our honeymoon. As it’s a 5-minute walk from the train station, it’s also not hard to get around. Antonio and his family and staff were lovely people and run such a beautiful resort. Every morning, Antonio personally serves homemade breakfast to everyone staying at the resort, and my goodness, it’s some of the best food we’ve ever eaten. (We’ve been home for a few days now and I wish I could just have Antonio’s breakfast one more time!) Meanwhile, Antonio chats with everyone at breakfast to ask what your plans are for the day. He gives the best advice on transportation, things to do and see, and how to avoid tourist traps. Dinner was also convenient and amazing. Most nights, you can order takeout from Antonio’s family restaurant and they will deliver right to the hotel. Fernando will set up a nice table on the terrace for you to enjoy dinner. There was another night that a chef came in and cooked for everyone right in front of us. All the food was to die for. When Antonio found out it was our honeymoon, he upgraded our room to a beautiful suite with ocean views - as if the room we had before wasn’t already gorgeous. They also gave us a few bottles of delicious homemade wine. The rooms and the entire resort were all so clean and spectacular. In sum, we miss this place and wish we could spend every day there. It is worth way more than five stars. We hope to return, and in the mean time, we will be telling all of our family and friends about this wonderful resort - the best we’ve ever stayed at.

Villa Ketty was amazing! The hosts were so lovely and friendly, including their very cute dog. The breakfast was fantastic. The views from the hotel were outstanding and we watched the sunset every night. The hosts arranged flowers and champagne for my birthday, which was so kind of them. We would definitely go back! Amazing family hotel. Hosts Antonio and Denise were amazing. They go out of their way to make sure your stay is amazing. Home cooked breakfasts are the best ever. Group dinners were fantastic. Transportation to and from restaurants in Vico Equense. What a wonderful place to anchor your stay on the Amalfi and Sorrento coasts. Amalfi Capri are wonderful but Villa Ketty will be the highlight of your trip.

Villa Ketty is amazing. Owners Antonio and Denise are fantastic hosts. The homemade breakfast daily fresh cheeses juice pastries jams is the best ever. They will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. Transportation to restaurants in Villa Equense, simple dinners on the patio, complete group dinners all to perfection. The villa has fantastic views. 15 minute train ride to Sorrento. Capri and Ravello are amazing but Villa Ketty will be the highlight of your trip. One of our most enjoyable stays of our travels all over the world. Bravo Antonio.

Wonderful setting, the photos are an accurate reflection of the place. Breakfasts are amazing, although not sure I could cope with eating as many lovely local cheeses and homemade cakes as much as I did, but it’s hard to say no. Antonio and his staff are all lovely and helpful. There are comments about the walk into town and back, we found it a pleasant short walk and there were only a couple of steep bits, but so short that it was fine. In fact, I preferred the walking, plus you got to meet all the local cats! The views from the path are lovely. Thoroughly recommend it, could not have imagined us staying in somewhere as busy as Sorrento. The room we had was spacious, the shower powerful and other than perhaps adding some hooks in the bathroom (so towels could be re-used instead of being changed every day), I can’t fault Villa Ketty at all.
