This place felt like home away from home. Lynn and Paul were the perfect hosts, with a lovely welcome, instant kindness and catered to everything we needed. The extra touches of home baked goods in the rooms and treat bags on checkout was so lovely! They were super warm and friendly and the place was immaculate in terms of decor and cleanliness. Breakfast was great and the garden was beautiful! We will definitely be back in the future! 100% value for money!

Very clean and stylish rooms. A great base for exploring Torbay within walking distance of the seafront. Excellent hosts who were really helpful and informative. Breakfast was delicious and made with quality ingredients. This is one place we would happily return.

Another amazing stay with Lynn & Paul, they really couldn't make you any more welcome. The Carlton Court is excellent, from the lush carpets, extremely comfy beds and the most luxurious Towels ever. Superb breakfast cooked to order with local produce and so much choice. So clean, and everything such good quality. If you want a special place to stay in Torquay this is it. Perfect distance from the center to make getting in and out easy, but a nice stroll down. Can't recommend it any higher. Should have 6 stars 🌟

Our favourite place to stay in Torquay. Visiting Lyn and Paul is like going to visit family. All the rooms are excellent. We’ve tried quite a few of them and the quality is consistent and definitely 5 stars. It has excellent food and the perfect location. Not far to walk into town for the beach and restaurants. Central for visiting lots of places.

This was my third visit to Carlton Court. Lynn and Paul were extremely welcoming as always and I had a lovely stay. The breakfast was excellent with the scrambled egg done to perfection. I stayed in Fern on the first floor which was extremely comfortable and the bed gave me a good night's sleep. I have to mention the delicious chocolate flapjack that was waiting for me in my room on arrival as it was delicious. On my last morning I had to leave early before it was time for breakfast. Lynn very kindly prepared me an excellent breakfast/lunch to take with me and yet more of that beautiful flapjack. Highly recommended and I look forward to returning again.

Lynn and Paul are excellent hosts, providing modern spacious rooms, great breakfast selection and free onsite parking. We stayed in Larkspur, a spacious room on first floor, overlooking the lovely garden. Carlton Court is in a great location within easy walking distance to the Seafront. There are some excellent restaurants just a short walk away. We also walked to the Princess Theatre to see a show, so worth checking what's on if you are staying. We would definitely stay in Carlton Court on our next visit to Torquay.

We have just returned from another wonderful trip to Carlton Court. Lynn and Paul are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them, the rooms are bright and clean with lots of storage, the rooms come with robes, slippers a safe and tea and coffee making facilities. The homemade cakes/muffins are divine, so is the homemade marmalade and jam. There is parking at the Guest House, which means that you don't need to use your car during your stay, you can easily walk into the Town there are also good bus and train links. We will definitely be returning

We stayed here for a couple of nights, attending a conference. Carlton Court more than lives up to its 5* rating. A first rate guest house, immaculately presented and spotlessly clean. We were in Gerbera which is a large ground floor bed room overlooking the garden with a comfortable large king sized bed. Three large windows give plenty of light and the small fridge was stocked with fresh milk and bottled water. A nice touch was the homemade flapjack. The en-suite is a decent size with a bath and separate shower. Lynn and Paul were great hosts, welcoming and helpful. There was a good selection on the breakfast menu expertly cooked by Lynn. All in all a hidden gem, quiet but only a short distance to the seafront. We would definitely stay here again if we were visiting Torquay.
