Hotel Gardenia Tamarindo

Good response to questions, price fair for what we got. Very cozy apartment, big clean beds, comfortable bathroom, cute pool, friendly, respectful, and efficient housekeepers. Other than the very inconvenient gravel parking spots, the hotel was well worth the prices. Highly recommended.

Worst hotel and service I have ever experienced in my life. Arrived to dead bugs all over the room with a horrible stench everywhere. The management is poor-mannered and doesn't care about their customers. All they care about is getting their money but they put no effort into making sure their customers are happy. The room on bookings.com doesn't match the actual room you walk into. The furniture is totally different and run-down in person. The hotel is very far away from the beach as well. Management still refuses to refund us and is extremely rude. She rushed us when we first arrived and just left the hotel afterward without making sure we were happy. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. We rebooked at Hotel El Manglar instead, which was much cheaper and had private beach access.
