The check in process was quick and efficient. Despite its location right next to the railway station, we didn't hear the trains come and go. Thanks to the windows with excellent soundproof! For the 10 nights we stayed in Karlsruhe Intercity, we found the thin mattress that was placed on top of the thick one too soft. Moreover, it kept slipping off the bed.
I was originally staying at another hotel for the duration of my holiday to visit some friends in Karlsruhe, but ended up getting the dates mixed and needed an extra night at a hotel. The price for the one night stay I had was really affordable, and it was not a long way from my friends. Even if the stay was only for one night, the hotel and the room itself was really nice! The staff was nice and helpful as well, which made my check-in and check-out very pleasant! The area was nice and quiet, and I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel considering it was only for one night!
Every time we pass through Karlsruhe we stay here - the atmosphere is great, staff are wonderful, breakfast is included and many other perks for free (that other hotels have since long stopped providing), fantastic rooms, and even jogging route suggestions. And then the location - so central, easy parking and great shopping, walks and eating possibilities just on your doorstep. Warmly recommended!
The hotel is in the city, yet at the same time relatively fast to drive up to from the highway on our way to north Italy. The hotel has its own garage for which you can reserve a spot (reserve, then go into the reception to ask which spot has been allocated to you), which makes it ideal when traveling. Note however that it is not big or spacious, so when parking with a big car, you need balls of steel. We stayed here on our way to and coming back. On our way to, we were surprised with an upgrade to the penthouse apartment, which is amazing! It's at the end of the corridor, with a small private terrace, and nice view over the city. It's decorated in an Asian style, with a lovely round couch to hang on, a big bathroom with a large rain shower, plenty of cupboard space, and coffee corner. The bed was huge and had a handy cushioned bench at its foot end, which we used to put our suitcase on . It was a shame we were only stayed one night and that it was pouring down, otherwise we would have sat outside and just enjoyed the atmosphere. Having said that, we enjoyed hanging in the room after dinner. We noticed that next to the penthouse, there is also a terrace and room for meetings (sign me up for those!), which companies I guess can rent. On the way back, we had a regular room on the first floor, which is still sizeable and as comfortable as we have gotten accustomed from the hotel. One of the other reasons we stay here on our way to Italy and back, is the breakfast. In fact, my husband talks about it while we're driving. Because it is so elaborate and welcoming, it just gives you the holiday feeling. You can make pots of tea with really nice tea, you can also order proper coffee (espresso machine) with oatmilk (Hafermilch), they have a wide range of warm breakfast food (scrambled or boiled eggs, bacon, sausages, and my favourite: pancakes), as well as a wide array of cheeses, meats, smoked salmon, and a home-made chia diary glass. The only thing I'm missing is brezels (though they do have little buns made of the same type of dough. And a nice touch: on the mirror at the end of the breakfast room, they list the team for breakfast, which I feel is such a nice, personal touch. The hotel bar is quite a hot spot, we have noticed. Unfortunately we always have to drive the next day so never make it there, however, because of the hotel, we are considering a longer stay in Karlsruhe on one of our trips.
Our stay at this hotel was outstanding in every way. The crew was incredibly lovable and super caring, always going above and beyond to help with anything we needed. The 24/7 swimming pool and bar were fantastic features, and the pool's child-friendly environment made it perfect for families. Our room was very spacious and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a lovely balcony overlooking the beautiful garden. The restaurant and morning buffet were perfectly situated in the Japanese garden, creating an utterly amazing experience to start the day. The combination of an outstanding crew, prime location, and excellent facilities made our stay truly memorable. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a superb and enjoyable experience.
ผผู้เข้าพักI have chosen Radisson Blu based on my many experiences with the hotel chain I gained in USA before pandemic, boy was I wrong to chose them in Karlsruhe. The room was clean and as on the photos, in order and ready to be used - that's about it. At the arrival I have informed the receptionist we don't have a reservation but that I could do it online right away, she promptly offered to do it herself, when I asked about the price difference I have been told ''it should be more or less the same''. Her booking was 151 euros, the online was 71 euros.. so I booked online with my phone right in front of her. We needed to leave early in the morning so we were happy to learn the breakfast is 6.30am so we confirmed our attendance. When we presented ourselves at the breakfast 6.30am sharp we have been told there was an error and it will be served later. So we waited, when we were allowed to access the breakfast the staff lady realized our room number have not been charged for the breakfast, we offered to pay at the check out as the wallet was in the room upstairs, unfortunately the lady would not bend the rule and insist on the payment before consumption. Early morning, with a hungry 7yo, after waiting already because of wrong information provided, that's not what you want to hear. Fast forward, we are about to leave just to learn the parking was not part of the deal - 17euros from 9pm to 7.30am. Unfortunately the whole experience was not over, my daughter forgot her stuffed animal in the room, when I called the receptionist asking for options on how to get it (we were hours of driving away) I have been told they are ok to hand it over to a currier if I organize one. I am genuinely asking myself if Radisson Blu is still in hospitality business, the complete lack of focus or consideration of client's needs is just striking. I have provided my review to the Radisson Blu directly using the platform I booked with, they came back with automatic answer telling me they have ''taken care'' of the issues signed. I won't come back and I won't recommend.
