⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an amazing stay at +81OTARU Homestay! The property is exceptionally clean, beautifully maintained, and located right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore all of Otaru’s attractions. It offers all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay, and everything was thoughtfully arranged. Considering the quality, location, and facilities, it is also very reasonably priced and offers excellent value for money. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Otaru!

Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. Villa was very well kept, with excellent views of the ocean. Pleasantly surprised by complimentary puddings and drinks. Manual grinder and coffee beans were a nice touch. Cons: Unable to drive directly to the villa due to safety policy. This made loading/unloading luggage very inconvenient. The walk to the carpark required negotiating a slippery gravel slope, which was even more dangerous in low-light conditions. Recommend to improve this with proper stairs or paved pathway.

The location is quite nice, just a 10–15 minute walk to the main shopping street. The hotel uses a self-service check-in system, but the process is straightforward and not difficult at all. The room is surprisingly spacious, with a kitchen and laundry area, which was very convenient. However, the bed sheets and bedding are quite old, so it would be great if the owner could consider replacing them with new ones. The main issue during our stay was the gas canisters stored right in front of the entrance. I understand that they may be necessary for heating or other purposes, especially during the harsh winter. However, unfortunately, the gas smell got into our room, which made it uncomfortable and difficult to sleep. We had to keep the window open throughout the night to reduce the smell. I would strongly recommend that the owner consider storing the gas canisters somewhere else, away from the entrance and guest rooms. I think this would significantly improve both the comfort and safety of the stay.

โรงแรมค่อนข้างไกลเหมาะแก่การขับรถไปเองเท่านั้น!รูปแบบการออกแบบห้องพักค่อนข้างเก่าเหมือนการตกแต่งในปี 1970 แต่ก็ยังสะอาดอยู่มีบ่อน้ำพุร้อนส่วนตัวในห้องน้ำที่สามารถใช้บริการได้ทุกที่ ห้องอาบน้ำขนาดใหญ่ก็ตกแต่งแบบเก่าแต่ก็ยังถือว่าพอรับได้!สิ่งที่น่าประทับใจที่สุดคือการได้รับประทานอาหารค่ำและอาหารเช้าแบบฝรั่งเศสในร้านอาหารฝรั่งเศสที่ตกแต่งอย่างวิจิตรงดงามและมีพนักงานเสิร์ฟในชุดสูท มีความเอาใจใส่และสุภาพ! ฉันจะเลือกพักที่นี่ในครั้งต่อไปที่ไปโรงแรมโอตารุ แต่ฉันหวังว่าพวกเขาจะสามารถตกแต่งห้องเพื่อให้รู้สึกทันสมัยมากขึ้น!

โรงแรมดีมากค่ะ ห้องพักสไตล์ญี่ปุ่น เหมือนหลุดออกมาจากในการ์ตูนญี่ปุ่นอย่างโดราเอมอน หรือชินจังเลยค่ะ เจ้าของก็น่ารักมาก พูดภาษาอังกฤษได้ การสื่อสารไม่มีปัญหา ตอนเช็คอินก็พาไปดู facility ทั้งหมดของโรงแรมด้วยค่ะ เวลาออกไปข้างนอกต้องฝากกุญแจไว้ที่เคาน์เตอร์ เพราะจะมีคนมาปูเตียงให้ค่ะ การประสานงานก็ดีมากเลย ตอนกลางคืนกลับมา พนักงานที่เคาน์เตอร์เป็นอีกคนแล้ว แต่เค้ารู้เลยว่าเราพักห้องไหน ทั้งที่เรายังไม่ได้บอกชื่อเลยค่ะ รายละเอียดเล็กๆ น้อยๆ ตรงนี้ดีมากเลย ชั้น 1 มีออนเซ็นด้วยค่ะ อาบน้ำเสร็จก็ไปแช่แป๊บนึง สบายตัวมาก อาหารเช้าก็เป็นสไตล์ญี่ปุ่น อร่อยมากค่ะ

มีลิฟต์ เมื่อออกจากสถานี Otaru ให้ข้ามถนนแล้วเลี้ยวขวา เดินประมาณ 5 นาทีถึงร้าน Ku****ori แล้วเลี้ยวซ้าย เดินตรงไปจนเจอ Lawson แผนกต้อนรับอยู่ที่ชั้น 3 มีตลาดสามเหลี่ยมอยู่ด้านนอกสถานี Otaru อาหารทะเลก็ดีเช่นกัน โอตารุสนุกกว่าซัปโปโรมาก

โรงแรมโดยรวมแล้วดีมากครับ ตั้งแต่บริการเช็คอินไปจนถึงการแจ้งรายละเอียดการเข้าพักและสอบถามเรื่องอาหารเช้า เป็นโรงแรมญี่ปุ่นแบบดั้งเดิมมากๆ ชั้น 2 เป็นออนเซ็นสาธารณะขนาดใหญ่ น้ำอุ่นกำลังดี มีห้องซาวน่าด้วยครับ มีโซนกลางแจ้งด้วย บรรยากาศดีมากๆ ถ้าเป็นฤดูหนาวและมีหิมะตก การอาบน้ำสามารถทำได้นานถึง 5 ทุ่มเลยครับ ห้องพักโดยรวมดูเก่าไปหน่อย แต่ไม่มีกลิ่นเหม็นอับหรือกลิ่นชื้นครับ อาจจะเป็นเพราะอากาศแห้งในฤดูหนาว แต่ก็มีเซอร์ไพรส์ที่ไม่คาดคิดด้วยครับ ผมเจอแมลงตัวเล็กๆ (ถ้าใครเข้าใจจะรู้) อยู่ริมหน้าต่างเยอะมาก แม้ว่าพวกมันจะตายหมดแล้ว แต่ก็ไม่ยากที่จะจินตนาการว่าถ้ามาพักช่วงฤดูใบไม้ผลิหรือฤดูร้อนคงหลีกเลี่ยงไม่ได้ โชคดีที่อากาศหนาวในฤดูหนาวทำให้พวกมันแข็งตายหมด โดยรวมแล้วก็ยังแนะนำครับ มีรถรับส่งฟรีไปสถานี Otaru และมีรถเมล์สาย 13 จอดหน้าโรงแรมด้วยครับ เวลาตรงเป๊ะเลย ถ้ามีโอกาสหน้าหนาวก็จะกลับมาพักอีกครั้งครับ ให้เป็นข้อมูลอ้างอิงนะครับ

I chose this guesthouse for its proximity to the train station and great value for the money, and I'm so glad I did! Even though it's a bit far from Sapporo city, the short 2-minute walk to the train station made getting around a breeze. The unit had everything I needed, including a washing machine and cooking essentials, which really made my stay comfortable. I definitely plan to book this guesthouse again for my next winter trip!

Pro: Nice looking apartment, spacious for family of 4. Carpark lot was provided for the guest. Easy to check-in Walking distance to the otaru canal Cons: There was urine stench inside the toilet. I had to clean the toilet seat and around it unfortunately the smell still remained. Secondly, we can smell cigarette at the living room in the morning as we believed that there was a guest smoking g from upstairs or downstairs.
