Lovely place to stay right in the scenic area of the 7 Star Crags. The booking of our room came with a set breakfast and it was good. (You can choose either the Chinese or Western set) The hostel has its own restaurant, so it was very convenient to have meals. We had dinner there one night and it was delicious and the price was reasonable. The hostel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hostess was also very helpful.. Although she was away during our 2 nights' stay, she contacted us through Wechat and helped to book a taxi to our next destination.

A great choice for a friends' getaway! We stayed at this hotel with a group of friends and were very pleased with our choice. Convenient location is a huge plus! Everything was truly nearby: cafes, restaurants, main attractions, and public transport. We didn't waste time on long journeys. The rooms were clean, cozy, and fully matched the description. Everything necessary for a comfortable stay was provided. Special thanks to the staff! Very friendly, attentive, and responsive people. Always ready to help with any request or question. For example, they helped us a lot with organizing a transfer and suggested great places for evening entertainment. Overall, we got exactly the relaxed and positive vacation we were hoping for. My friends and I will definitely be reminiscing about this trip. We recommend it!

This family trip turned out way better than we expected. The park has well-paved, gentle paths, and shuttle buses go directly to every spot, so my parents and kids never got tired. Clean restrooms and resting benches are everywhere, so you can stop anytime you need. There’s a huge open lawn for picnics and flying kites—everyone had something fun to do. The local restaurant even adjusted dishes for elderly guests, so we all left happy. It’s such a great spot for family outings.

Would have all been okay, except for the fact that we deliberately spent quite some time looking for hotels where we can explicitly book non-smoking rooms. But as we were inside, we clearly smelled cigarette smoke coming in. We realised it is coming in from the toilet ventilation system. The smell was unbearable so we went down to reception to let them know. But their reply was super incompetent, saying “oh right, I will send someone up with some air freshener”. We then told her that this will not solve the issue, and she said she will ask for the ventilator to also be checked. By the time we got up clearly someone had already been there as the whole room was then swimming in citrus air freshener. It was almost worse than the cigarette smell if that is possible. We then had to open all doors and windows trying to breathe and since it was late and we had no energy to try and complain and then move rooms still, we had to sleep in that all. Of course in the morning we again woke up to cigarette smoke drafting in, and we immediately checked out and went to find another hotel. Would never stay with the City Comfort Inn again.

Had a good stay at CHEERMAY Hotel (Zhaoqing Qixingyan Paifang Ancient City Wall Scenic Area). The location is convenient, especially for visiting nearby attractions such as the scenic area and ancient city wall. It was easy to get around, and the surroundings were quite pleasant. The Quality Simple Choice Double Bed Room was clean, cozy, and comfortable for a short stay. I liked the modern setup, especially the smart home system and Bluetooth smart lock, which made the stay feel more convenient and a bit more high-tech. The room had a simple but practical design, and overall it was a comfortable place to rest. The stay was smooth overall, and the hotel offered good value for a short trip. A nice option for travelers looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in Zhaoqing.

Newly renovated, good location, just next to airport express bus station. Opposite is the Star lake, supermarket, shopping and foods. Rooms are clean, water pressure very good. If you wish to have a quiet room, choose the rooms that facing back. Facing main road can be quite noisy.
