"This is a good hotel located in an excellent location with direct access to Star Mall. Across the road is a nice park by the lake. The observation deck on level 7 offers great views of Star Lake. We watched the sunset and musical water fountain show on the deck at 8 pm. The breakfast spread was more than sufficient and the ambience was very pleasant. The only minor problem is that the hotel computer system seems to be having some difficulty in checking in guests and the front desk staff although polite didn't explain the hotel facilities and where to have breakfast. Other than that everything is fine."

"Great hotel. Very clean, modern design and furnishings. Seems very new but also well kept. Excellent quality to price ratio. We did get upgraded as the hotel was full. Air conditioning was strong, which was great because it was super hot weather while we were there. The Toto toilet seat is a huge plus, as were the twin basins and tea set. The surroundings are quite peaceful, convenience store around the corner, free parking and EV charging is available next door. Will return."

"We recently stayed at this hotel with my wife, and we were truly impressed. The location is very central and extremely convenient for getting around. The room is spacious and comfortable, and the balcony is a wonderful extra—especially with the spectacular view. Breakfast is also a highlight, offering a wide variety of options and plenty of choices to suit different tastes. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay."

"Went to the ”wrong” Vienna Hotel after arriving by train. There are a few ”Vienna Hotels” in Zhaoqing. Unfortunately the street address for ”my” Vienna Hotel did not appear in the drop down menu of all the Vienna Hotels in the Didi App. Even the receptionists at the ”wrong” hotel were not able to help me order a Didi on my English version of WeChat. They had to order a Didi using their Chinese version of WeChat. The train trip from Guangxi Province took 90 minutes but finding the right hotel after arriving in Zhaoqinh took longer, 120 minutes. Not having a smiling enthusiastic welcome after arriving at the ”right” Vienna hotel didn't help my mood. This was made worse when I hopped into bed and smelt cigarette smoke. The bathroom is tiny and dated. The breakfast variety was great though! Checked out and moved to another newer hotel after 2 nights."

"Biggest bed I have ever slept in 🫣 I mean it was wider than its length 😅😂 spacious room with a fantastic bathtub. Room service made the room so tidy and clean. Best location for the city. The only downside was the reception couldn't speak English at all."

"Lika Wang did a good job at helping me check in and picking up my Taobao packages. Room was clean, robes and towels fluffy, bed and pillows soft and clean, balcony rail was wiped (saw them sipping it). Room has nice art work based on local geography, floor lag does not get soaked because there’s a lip beneath shower door, there’s a scale and a hair dryer, coffee pods (no creamer) and basic tea. Pool gym are both clean with towels. Lounge is ok, but refreshments and drinks very limited, didn’t have time to try their actual tea time. Breakfast has EXCELLENT EGG CHOICES (well labelled as over easy etc) with omelettes, sausages were good quality, bacon was ok, Chinese rice noodles were dried out but congee selection was good. But breakfast areas were crowded but they did try to put extra seating outside the restaurant. Cleaning staff consistently remembered to greet guests. Chinese restaurant had good roast duck, fresh shrimps but service was slow and lacked eloquence. Overall pretty well designed hotel, with staff that have good attitude. But like many hotels, it’s the training that may need improvement. Areas for improvement: 1. air conditioning insufficient in lobby and hallways,(avoid automatic doors and add curtains to save ac if needed ) 2. Fitness centre desk staff a bit slow and lacks training, more water machines needed, 3. Doorman didn’t always help with luggage and didn’t consistently open doors, (but they were often outside in the heat, tried to help and were ready to help) 4. Restaurant staff put in good effort, but you need more staff or faster staff. 5. Breakfast wasn’t replenished fast enough, salad bar could be improved with more choices, (Japanese dressing was always low) hash browns could be added and the coffee beans weren’t that good but the machine was good. 6. Management staff need to be on site more supervising and greeting. 7. Concierge staff could be more active at greeting and directing. 8. Some live piano music or some more music to enhance lobby would be better. Nonetheless all of the staff overall are better than average, and show good attitude and willingness. The most impressive was the attention to detail with shower door lip, local art work, breakfast egg selection, very comfortable bed, and good congee selection."

"The price to value of the hotel is good. It is conveniently located in Dinghu district with many restaurants and snacks shops. The breakfast option is also good value."

"Ji Hotel overall is very good, I have stayed quite a lot of Ji Hotel at different place. Normally I rated Ji Hotel with excellent service but for this time I will only rate ”1” due to the front desk staff were not friendly, I stayed here 3 nights only one front desk young  lady (戴黑框眼睛的小姐姐) was friendly to us, the rest were very rude and unfriendly , especially is the lady look like manager (the one with the black jacket), when we are check in, she is stand at the front desk and look us like ”alien”, this make us uncomfortable. For my next trip to Zhao Qing, I'LL NOT LOOK FOR THIS JI HOTEL AGAIN."
