The staff was very friendly and attentive, but they are severely understaffed. I called the front desk 3 times- the first two times I was placed on hold for so long that I hung up. When I called room service, no one answered when I called the restaurant no one answered and they told me to leave a recording and that they would call me back. when I finally got through to the front desk, they were very nice and apologetic, but this is unacceptable. The management needs to hire more staff. I am surprised of the existing staff does not leave because they have to deal with so many complaints.

Beautiful hotel and property. The hotel has done a very good job of keeping the property safe and secure in downtown Spokane that can be quite scratchy. Can hear the train behind the hotel pass about every 30 minutes in your room all night. Was disappointed that there was old room service outside our door when we checked in. Makes it feel like you are going into a dirty room. Staff was amazing. Very helpful and polite.

Beautifully restored and maintained hotel with just the right modernizations added. I highly recommend this property.

Overall comfortable stay. Room temperature was hard to manage (very warm) and pillows were terrible…needs updating.

The details of the hotel are so neat and unique. We enjoy the proximity to downtown restaurants and shopping.

Overall great location and service. A little over priced for the aging facilities, but again the set is great. Area around downtown is not very safe.

The air resonated with the hotel's heritage, every detail oozing class – intricate moldings, antique furnishings. It was like stepping into a forgotten chapter, a storybook brought to life. A personal highlight was the second floor, where captivating framed photographs whispered tales of a bygone era. Then came the Grand Pennington Ballroom – a jaw-dropping masterpiece. Ornate ceilings, glittering chandeliers, and intricate tilework transported me to a Jaipur palace, leaving me awestruck and inspired. We embraced both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The food was a culinary concerto, each dish expertly composed and bursting with flavor. The ambiance, woven with history, undeniably added to the experience. However, the coffee bar struck a minor discordant note, offering only two types of pastries and suffering from sluggish service. This brief pause in the harmony wouldn't deter me, though. The Historic Davenport's spellbinding atmosphere, impeccable service, and luxurious amenities far outweighed any minor imperfections. We left with hearts brimming with wonder, memories
