We stayed one night. The hotel is located in Merseburg, an ancient city situated on the Saale River and within a short drive from Halle and Leipzig. Partly covered parking may be available behind the hotel at EUR 13/night, however spaces are limited and we were lucky to get one of the last remaining spaces. We chose the hotel based on a previous stay in 2021. Unfortunately no Business Class Room was available this time, so we opted for a Junior Suite, which turned out to be situated in a separate wing. Our room was spacious with a separate sitting area, comfy beds and a large bathroom. The separate wing was connected to the main building by a stairway, making it necessary to carry our rather heavy baggage up and down to get it to and from our room, not very pleasant. We visited on a sunny and warm day in August and although our room was large and nice it had no air con (available in Business Class Rooms). Even though a fan was available and windows could be opened our room was uncomfortably warm. Breakfast was included in our rate and was good with a number of hot and cold items. We visited on a busy morning and our experience as a whole was not as quiet and relaxing as we had expected, partly due to a less successful organization of the different items.

On our way home from Italy, we stayed overnight at this hotel. I have never stayed at a hotel, with such poor sleeping comfort and old style rooms, stained carpet, no proper ventilation, only positive thing were the bathroom, paid eur 115,- reasonable good shape. Car-park were in poor condition, considering we paid eur 13,- for one night. The personal were positive, especially the waiter, very nice service.

The hotel rooms are in major need of modernisation, extremely dated by modern standards. I think it is the only hotel where there as been a corby trouser press in the room. The room itself was very hot and there was no fan in the room. The pillows were just awful, they just disappeared into nothing when you put your head on them.

We stayed two nights on a road trip to Germany. The hotel is located near the Castle Gardens in the town of Merseburg. The Castle Gardens are close to the River Saale and the centre of the old town with the cathedral is within walking distance. Covid 19 regulations were handled very well and as you would expect from a Radisson Hotel. Our room was a spacious Business Class Room on the top floor with a number of nice facilities, such as a safe, coffee and tea facilities, and A/C. We even had a private roof terrace with a nice view of the town, and Leipzig and Halle in the horizon. Everything was very clean and in perfect order. Breakfast in the Restaurant Belle Epoque was included in our rate and was very nice with several choices of both hot and cold items of high quality. The hotel is connected to a private (paid) parking lot with direct access to the hotel. Excellent service throughout the entire facility, and we would definitely recommend this hotel.

Von Halle an der Saale geht es bequem mit der Straßenbahn oder dem Zug nach Merseburg. Ist es deswegen ein Vorort von Halle? Das Hotel trägt zumindest den Namenszusatz Halle-Merseburg. Es ist nahe der Saale gelegen und gut erreichbar. Direkt vor dem Hotel liegt der Schlossgarten und in der unmittelbaren Umgebung gibt es Cafés. Von außen offenbart das Hotel nicht seine Bauzeit aber von innen ist sofort erkennbar, das die Einrichtung aus den 1990ern stammt. Einiges wurde auf den neuesten Stand gebracht und bei einigen Gegenständen wurde gespart oder nicht genau hingeschaut. Die Werbung im Aufzug verweist auf eine App, die es schon nicht mehr gibt. Wer sich von Äußerlichkeiten nicht abschrecken lässt bekommt eine solide Unterkunft mit freundlichem Personal und einem sehr guten Frühstücksbuffet. Ein funktional ausgestatteter Sportraum gehört ebenso dazu wie Kurzzeitparkplätze vor dem Hotel für die An- oder Abreise.

Wir haben mehrere Tage im Hotel verbracht und waren rundum zufrieden. Die Lage direkt am Schlossgarten ist super schön und sehr zentral. Unser Zimmer war geräumig, sauber und ruhig, die Betten bequem. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat uns einen sicheren Aufbewahrungsort für unsere Fahrräder gezeigt. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und es war für jeden etwas dabei. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Leider waren wir nur eine Nacht da, denn so entspannt haben wir schon lange nicht mehr in einem Hotel schlafen können. Das Haus gut gepflegt, ruhig, einladend und die Damen an der Rezeption super nett, sehr hilfsbereit und stets lächelnd! Unser Zimmer im 3ten Stock fanden wir ganz schön. Kleinere Schönheitsfehler fallen nicht ins Gewicht und so hat uns eine schöne Aussicht, ein tolles Bett, Minibar, ein großes Bad und die Ruhe sehr erfreut. Wir haben einen schönen Aufenthalt erleben dürfen und sicher nicht zu viel bezahlt. Danke und bis bald!

Die Zimmer wirken etwas altbacken, das Personal ist super freundlich (wir haben einen großartigen Restauranttipp bekommen), und die Lage ist natürlich grandios. Wunderbares Frühstücksbuffet. Ohne Klimaanlage sind die Zimmer im Hochsommer tagsüber nicht auf eine akzeptable Temperatur zu bekommen.

Das Hotel ist schon ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen aber noch ganz ok. Klimatisierung ist leider nicht vorhanden. Schlafkomfort war sehr gut (weiche Betten). WLAN gut. Frühstücken konnte ich leider nicht, da wegen Umbau die Kapazitäten begrenzt sind. Guter Ausgangspunkt in Merseburg. Personal freundlich.
