A Truly Exceptional Stay at Fairlawns Boutique Hotel My recent stay at Fairlawns Boutique Hotel in Johannesburg was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment I arrived, I felt enveloped in an atmosphere of calm, luxury, and genuine hospitality. This is the kind of property that doesn’t just meet expectations — it elevates them. I was booked into one of the Villa Suites, and it was an experience in itself. The suite was beautifully appointed, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, blending elegance with comfort in a way that felt both indulgent and homely. Every detail from the plush furnishings to the serene garden views contributed to a sense of effortless relaxation. It truly felt like a private sanctuary. The service throughout my stay was impeccable. Staff members were warm, attentive, and intuitive without ever being intrusive. Whether it was assistance with luggage, dining recommendations, or simply a friendly check‑in to ensure everything was perfect, the team consistently delivered with professionalism and charm. The hotel grounds are equally impressive. Lush, tranquil, and meticulously maintained, they create a peaceful escape that feels worlds away from the bustle of the city. It’s the ideal setting for unwinding, whether by the pool, in the spa, or simply strolling through the gardens. Dining at Fairlawns was another highlight. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour, with a menu that balances creativity and comfort. Every meal felt like a treat. Overall, Fairlawns Boutique Hotel offers an exceptional blend of luxury, privacy, and heartfelt hospitality. My stay in the Villa Suite was unforgettable, and I would recommend this hotel without hesitation to anyone seeking a refined and restorative escape in Johannesburg.

Hotel is rated at 5star but the amenities are quite average. The standard king size room is smaller than I have experience in some other hotels if that range. You do not find water glasses in the room. Room service is very slow and sometimes your call will just keep transferring between room service and reception if you needed something. If you ordered food in your room, you have to make payment immediately. It does not amount up to check out. There is only one restaurant, one cafe in the hotel. You can walk up to nearest restaurant for your food that is 800m away.Pool is there but you have to carry your own towel. The day we arrived, there was a birthday party around the pool with loud music. We avoided going to pool side. Shoe shiner is in the lobby and if you get your shoes cleaned he needs to be paid as compliment and that complement begins with 100rand minimum. To me it’s an average hotel and ok for a couple of days. It had some conference going on so extra crowd was also in the lobby for the two days we stayed If you are looking for a luxery experience, better choose another hotel. This hotel is ok for not more than two days of stay.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Still One of My Favourite Hotels in Sandton! I’ve stayed at @Sandton Hotel before, which is exactly why I chose it again for a much longer stay this time. I’ll start with the only hiccup. I booked in February 2026, when free parking was one of the reasons I chose the hotel. By the time I checked in, the parking policy had changed and there was now a charge, which came as a surprise as this wasn’t reflected anywhere in my booking. Thankfully, the hotel handled the situation very efficiently and honoured the conditions that applied when I booked, so I didn’t have to pay. Fantastic customer service, but definitely something future guests should check when booking. Outside of that, @Sandton Hotel remains a firm favourite! The staff are lovely, the hotel is clean and beautifully maintained, and the team is incredibly responsive to guests’ needs. I always feel safe here, the location is extremely convenient, and the breakfast is fantastic. And as you can probably tell from my photos, I simply could not get enough of those gorgeous sunset views! 🌅 Another wonderful stay. Highly recommended!
