Reception was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was of excellent quality, particularly the cremant. Location in the heart of the old quarter cannot be beat. We were given the room on the ground floor, ideal for people with heavy luggage. Noise was not a problem in mid-March. Would love to stay here again.
Superb hotel, with good amenities, top notch staff/service, good beds and great design. This a higher end hotel (4 stars) but arguably better than some other hotels at this grade. Leans towards design more than sumptuousness and does it well. Walkable to the centre. Would recommend for trips to Strasbourg.

This is not a 4 star hotel unfortunately. We decided to choose this hotel for the location and for the air conditioning. The room was hot when we arrived & the a/c did not appear to be working or cooling the room. Thomas, who I believe to be the manager. Made an adjustment on the thermostat and said it should cool down. Less than a minute later he knocked and turned the knob the other way. Apparently, he wasn’t sure how to set the thermostat. When we returned to the hotel the room was not cool. We opened the windows to try to make it bearable to sleep. Loud noise was coming in off the street. At one point my husband got up around midnight to yell out our window for a man to please be quiet. We reported the ac again. They pretty much said you are in the city & it is loud. It doesn’t get any cooler. It was hot. They offered to move us to another room when we returned one night at 8:30. It was just as hot. We asked for compensation of some sort. Thomas did not bother to communicate with us until I asked him when our taxi had arrived. He said I will give you a free breakfast but never told us & he knew the taxi would be there any minute. He had plenty of time to communicate in reference to the air conditioning issue & the compensation he chose not to. We had 3 nights of very interrupted and uncomfortable sleeping conditions. I would not recommend staying here. Poor management & poor communication and definitely no a/c!! He made it obvious he did not care! Beware!
Amazing hotel. This Chateau is in a great location away from busy cities and in a park with many open acres nearby for walking. The rooms were nice, although our room was in a side building not the main Chateau. There are some nice historic rooms in the main Chateau with a piano in the lounge. There is a restaurant and bar adjacent with a volleyball sand court, where families go to lounge, have snacks/ice cream and drink. There is free parking for guests at the hotel and if you have a car and plan to spend time in Strasbourg, it is best to drive a mile and park at the tram (city train) pickup. You can leave your car there all day and the total price to park and bring your family/friends on the train is only around four Euro's for your whole car of people. This will save you money and time versus finding and paying for expensive parking in the city. There are some good restaurants nearby in the area of Robertsau. We ate at Au Coq Blanc which was very delicious. Overall, you cannot go wrong staying here as it is a great atmosphere for relaxation.
We have stayed here twice to break journeys through Europe. It’s friendly, well-run, modern and very clean. The spa area is lovely and not charged separately, which is a bonus. Breakfast is well presented and a good mix of food. We’ll definitely stay again.
LLydia EngVery spacious room . Love the hotel location. Hidden away from the busy streets. Breakfast is not too bad. The river cruise is just located infront of the hotel. The Notre-Dame cathedral is just minutes of walk away . Many museums around us. Many lovely restaurants and shopping streets just minutes away. Will definitely come back and stay again.
WWayne DWe enjoyed staying at the Best Western Plus Hotel Zürcherhof. The location is wonderful making it easy to to visit Zurich’s main attractions in a few minutes walking time, including about a 15-minute walk from the train station. It is located in the very nice pedestrian Niederdorf area mentioned above with nice restaurants and shopping just minutes away. They make you feel at home with a friendly and helpful staff, a nice breakfast with made-to-order eggs, free mini-bar with beer and drinks, and free deserts and ice cream available in the lobby. The rooms are smaller but very comfortable with modern conveniences and good Internet.
