Went here for my birthday holiday, the staff were friendly and helpful. Location was amazing and felt safe for a solo female traveller. Amenities were provided, with nice clean spacious room.

What a fantastic stay. Firstly the hotel has been renovated beautifully our superior room was great with everything you could need for a great stay. Secondly we stayed half board and both breakfast and dinner buffets were spot on. Great selection at both with regional and international cuisine. Third and finally the service levels were exceptional throughout the best I've ever experienced at a hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone whether it be the concierge, a waiter or room service all exceptional. Will 100% return to this hotel

Hotel it’s self excellent . Outside pool management poor this should be addressed. View from pool excellent but noise from pool like being on a cheap holiday to Ibiza.

From the moment we arrived the staff could not be more helpful or attentive to our needs, greeted with welcome drinks and a friendly smile, the check in process was seamless and easy. Our room was spacious with a stunning balcony and a stunning view of Valletta. The restaurant and bar are fab and staff are so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is amazing with everything you could ask for. Large drinks and room service menu. Lots of little additions in the room too like a razor and toothbrush. Turndown service is a treat. The blue motion light is great at night to save you banging around looking for the loo. Soundproof rooms and lots of lifts so no queuing or waiting. The only negative inside the hotel is the fall on the shower is going the wrong way so you end up with a wet floor every time. The pool situation however is an absolute mess and the management company over it are really damaging the hotels reputation. Every guest we met had the same negative experience at the pool. It is poorly managed and the hotel guests are treated very very poorly. Given that people pay a five star price to stay at this hotel a five star experience is expected throughout all available amenities. I would not stay here again due to the pool situation.

First time in Malta and we were very happy with our hotel choice, the staff were all 5* friendly, professional and helpful. We had a really good experience checking in where we were greeted with prosecco. Our room was a superior double and was very stylish and spacious. There were a few finishing details around the desk area which were a bit rough but other than that it was lovely. The turning down service at night was a special touch. Breakfast was wonderful, everything you could ask for, cooked and presented to a high standard and thank you to the hard working waiting staff. As with other guests we did have issues with the pool. The area itself is wonderful with an amazing view of Valletta, if you can get the right beds, which are super comfy. After reading the reviews we decided to be bold so when we were instructed to turn right down to the corner that hotel guests were being hidden in, we ignored the instruction and just found 2 beds in the best area near the beautiful pool. The music is loud it's true, and increases as the day goes on so you need noise cancelling headphones. There were very attentive waiters and drinks were reasonably priced. On Saturday however they had more staff and we were escorted to a different corner where we had a view of a concrete wall with railings. Waiters did not seem so keen to visit us in this area and there were no cushions or tables. I've attached 2 photos of the different views we had from each position. If we had not been brave for the first 2 days then we would have had the horrible place every day. As the outdoor area is a big part of our holiday, I would not return to this hotel as it's a bit of a gamble around the pool. It's a shame that the hotel have not negotiated with the bar to ensure that their guests have the best experience - but it seems that the hotel does not own the pool. If things change, I would definitely return as the hotel itself is wonderful.
