We stayed at the Victoria for a three night Easter break. We were very impressed with every aspect of this hotel. The food was consistently of a high standard. The vegetarian choice was good. Special mention should be made of the staff. They were all very attentive, friendly and professional. They are a credit to the hotel and to the Brend company.

We have stayed here on a number of occasions in the past. It has always been excellent, and this time it again lived up to our expectations. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. All staff were also helpful and friendly.

The Hotel is in a beautiful setting above the promenade. The gardens always look well attended and the welcome by the staff is efficient and friendly. Having stayed in various rooms over many years I am never disappointed by the standard of cleanliness, comfortable bed, linen and towels. Everything is provided for comfort. The choice at dinner is excellent, food tasty and well presented. Breakfasts have lots of choice from the buffet to the cooked. Allergies are well catered for. As with all Hotels/restaurants a wide range of drinks are offered at varying prices. Rooms on the second or third floor looking towards the hill or the town are very pleasant. Once again a memorable stay.

This was our third visit to the Victoria hotel, it’s in a great location and facilities are great. However what makes this place so special for us is the staff. Every member of the team at the Victoria in whatever role clearly wants to engage and to make your stay as good as it can be. This consistency of approach is hugely impressive in any organisation and it makes such a difference to the experience we will certainly be back

Brilliant restaurant in the hotel for Sunday lunch. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Good choice of menu - I recommend the roast beef. The restaurant was full so you need to book in advance. Sunday lunch includes coffee and mints served in the lounge.

Cannot recommend highly enough, fantastic service . The dining was excellent as was the rooms , staff were outstanding nothing was to much trouble, even with the building work going on did not impact our stay at all .

The Victoria is a great hotel that I visit regularly as the staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is terrific with a dinner menu that changes every day. The grounds are beautifully kept and the view from the lounge is great as you can see the sea front. It is the only place to stay in Sidmouth.

A wonderful couple of days in spite of very uncertain weather. The best ever customer service, fabulous food, excellent wine and luxurious surroundings with stunning views across the bay. The ideal place to stay and be "spoilt".

Great service, great food, and lovely sea views. A comprehensive menu with well prepared quality food and good professional service in a superb setting. A calm and cosilting environment for a pre meal drink, and then to end the meal with a coffee overlooking a calm sea with the sun shining on it.
