This is a lovely property I stayed at years ago and was so excited to return to because they are newly renovated and just turned into a Grande Hyatt. The renovation is mostly wrapped up, so seemed like a good time time to try it. After my experience, I would recommend waiting until all the bugs get worked out. We had an alarm go on and off for 30 min one day. There is still jack hammering going on. Our toilet flooded multiple times with toilet water all over the floor, the toilet had a major problem that was obviously there prior to our stay. We had to have maintenance to our room 3 times before they fixed it so it would actually flush. One of those times was at 11pm, the next time they didn't fix it while we left property like arranged, or they didn't fix it ”correctly” which meant the 3rd time resulted in me spending my afternoon dealing with that instead of at the pool. I was given an additional complimentary room across the hall to use the last night of our 3 night stay in case we had any more toilet issue. We decided to utilize the extra bed for our family of four, but then the AC didn't work!!! The 2 of us who chose to sleep in the new room were in a hot box all night. I tried everything to get the air to be cooler but nothing worked and then forgot the key to the old room, so we couldn't go back unless we woke up the rest of our family to let us in. I woke up on Thanksgiving morning so tired, like a truck hit me. I was happy to check out at that point and go to a Marriott. Not the stay I hoped for. Apparently it is a 112 million dollar renovation but they took down the Greek looking pillars/waterfalls out at the pool, and now it is just looks like every other high end pool. I was disappointed to say the least and won't be back anytime soon.
Last night, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at LUNA, the lobby restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the hostesses made us feel welcome, sharing the rich history of Luna as they guided us to our table—a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the evening. Our server, Amanda, was exceptional, recommending one of the finest bottles of red wine I’ve ever had. The food was absolutely delicious, and we loved the family-style servings that made the meal even more enjoyable. A special highlight was when GM Paul personally stopped by to check in on us and make sure everything was perfect. It was my brother’s birthday, and they went above and beyond, surprising us with a couple of desserts, including one with a candle. Great vibes, fantastic food, superb wine, and top-notch service. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for making the evening so memorable!
Staff was really nice and accommodating. Our room was very spacious and the location was perfect. Really glad we stayed here. It’s a smaller hotel, so there weren’t a lot of amenities, but we were walking distance to a lot of places we were wanting to go to. I also liked that we had a mini kitchen and living room.
This Hôtel definitely exceeded my expectations.I have been a long time Marriott Gold Elite member and by far, this one was the best .The hotel is very clean from all corners .The 2 ladies at the front desk were very hospitable and accommodating. They were very attentive to our requests upon check in .I know it’s not always guaranteed to upgrade our room as a Marriott member but Ancila and Julianne did their best to find a room where 3 of us would be comfortable. Being picked as customer or guest of the day gave me an added 250 bon voy points . Marriott does appreciate loyal customers ! The complimentary breakfast provided a good variety of choices which is a healthy way to start the day !
Nice modern, quiet property. We moved here after a bad experience in the Old Town area of Scottsdale and although a ways away from the shopping and dining areas of central Scottsdale, it offers a quiet, comfortable stay. Only downside during this stay is almost every food item wasn’t available - apparently they are changing the menu. Not really acceptable because there are no other restaurants nearby without driving. We wanted a light dinner without leaving the hotel. Plenty of on street parking if you don’t want to pay for parking.
Before arriving, I called the front desk when I noticed there was a slight error on the dates. Since I was there for a conference, the clerk gave me the name and number of the person with my organization who was coordinating the trip. I contacted the person using the info he gave me, and received no reply. Upon further investigation, this person was not affiliated in any way with my organization. No problem. Mistakes happen! I got it sorted out by bypassing Fairmont. When I arrived, I was given a dirty/used room in the G building. I called the front desk to request a ride back, since I had my luggage and it's not a short walk. That ride was never sent. So I walked back and retrieved a key to a clean room. The front desk credited $100 to my room account for the inconvenience and hassle. When I got to the new room, the key didn't work..... The hot water did not work in my shower, but I didn't want to change rooms again. (This is my fault, of course, but do you blame me?) I have a picture and video of the water pressure if anyone is interested. When I checked out, there was no $100 credit on my statement (of course). I receive much better treatment at a Hilton. Not sure how they maintain a five star rating.
SSpinningvortexThe hotel was new and was clean; rooms were spacious and breakfast was above expectations- the only downside is that there’s nothing much nearby and the they did not provide any toothbrush or toothpaste kits. The room also had a bit of leftover wrappers on the floor from previous guest. Not bad overall though.
SSeaside05356751565The Scott is beautifully designed with a chic, tropical vibe that makes for the perfect getaway. It was an ideal spot for a relaxing girls’ weekend! A highlight of our stay was the amazing spa experience. I had the best facial and the spa itself was beautiful. The resort was also an easy walk to Old Town Scottsdale and nearby shopping. We walked into town and adventurously took a Waygo home - a very futuristic driverless car experience! While the food was delicious, the service at the restaurant and Cabana Club could use some improvement. We found ourselves waiting quite a long time for our orders. The Club may have been short staffed as we had to put in our own drink orders at the bar as servers didn’t come around, and glasses were left unattended around the fire pit area, which detracted a bit from the ambiance. All in all, though, the inspiring design, relaxing atmosphere, and incredible spa made it a wonderful stay.
