Scamander Sanctuary Holiday Park

One of the best camping grounds in Tasmania. Obviously planned to meet campers needs with excellent toilet & shower facilities in separate ensuite style cabins. Hot showers timed for 5 minutes (plenty of time) large sites, a fully equipped camp kitchen and fire pits provided if you buy the wood for them. Couldn't recommend this place more highly with its location near a beautiful sandy beach and plenty of other tourist attractions. Well done Matthew for ticking all the boxes.

Good base to visit the Bay of Fires , etc without the expense. Excellent new clean facilities. Owner was very friendly and helpful. We had elect problems with our van, Matt organised an electrical within half hour. Go grateful. Definitely will return

The Scamander Sanctuary Holiday Park is among the best we have known and stayed at. So much so, we revisit each year and will continue to do so. Love it so much that 2 weeks usually turns into several weeks. Meticulous facilities, beautifully maintained park, abundant wildlife, private access to a magnificent beach. And the owner (Matt) is the perfect host , very approachable and accommodating. Have stayed in the safari clamping tent and also in our caravan in the park. Thank you Matt for everything that you do that makes this place so special.

We arrived at 6:00 p.m. after a long drive from Hobart stopping many times on the way to look at the east coast beauty. We were greeted by Matthew the owner who was very friendly and generous with his time. We hadn't booked ahead and it was no trouble for him to get a glamping tent ready for us. The accommodation was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed we had a wonderful stay and we'll definitely be back. Matthew was an amazing host and is doing everything right to make you feel very welcome

What a fabulous campground. Matt was extremely friendly and helpful on greeting us and during his regular site checks throughout our stay. Amenities are top notch, toilet/showers are an ensuite design and very spacious and cleaned on a daily basis. Camp kitchen was well equiped and well maintained, and again cleaned each day which is great to see. We had a great few days here with the camper trailer exploring the east coast.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Scamander Sanctuary Park. The directions for getting there are clear and easy to follow and the grounds are meticulously maintained and well organized. My tent site was surrounded by pretty flowering vegetation and was private. The tent was spacious, nicely decorated and had everything one could need including a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle etc. The bed was very comfortable. The tents are set up on a spacious deck with nice wood deck chairs and a great wood burning stove. A short, lovely walk takes you to the beautiful Scamander beach and at night I fell asleep to the sound of the surf. This staff and owner were quick to respond to any questions and went out of their way to be helpful when I had car trouble. The location was perfect for exploring the region including the spectacular Bay of Fires and after long days of hiking, biking and swimming it was easy and felt great returning to the site. If you are glamping or camping I can't recommend this place highly enough. It is great!

Scamander Sanctuary Holiday Park is modern, clean & serene. Scamander is well situated between St Helen’s, beautiful beaches & eastcost wineries. Friendly & attentive service. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We booked a glamping tent for family at Scamander Sanctuary Holiday Park, which was the great experience to enjoy camping environment for the first time with all amenities provided during the stay except for hair dryer. However, the friendly and helpful holiday park management team gave us a spare one to use during our stay. I would recommend other customers to bring your own hair dryer if you really need to use it. Other than that everything is in high quality and the holiday park locates close to beach and cafes; only short drive to St. Helens (gateway to the Bay of Fires).

We stayed at Scamander Sanctuary Holiday Park on a powered site with our caravan for 2 nights, it was quiet, flat and relaxing This park is very well looked after, amazing modern and clean amenities including showers and toilets, the camp kitchen is just superb has everything you need, the short stroll to the beach is wonderful, you might see some wildlife on the way,the management are friendly,you have everything you need at this amazing park, highly recommend and I’m looking forward to my next stay here, it’s the best caravan park.
