#負評#對性價比，防治蚊蟲措施，走廊隔音，鄰近活動，鄰近餐廳，房間大小失望；总结：如果你不想被坑押金还要被恐吓，然后受一肚子气的话，绝对不要住。 首先从收押金开始就很不对劲，明明美国的酒店绝大多数都是只用信用卡收押金的，这家酒店却极力推荐我们用现金付押金(其实是为后面不退押金做准备，)，当时我们就付了现金。 然后第二天退房的时候，酒店的人过来检查房间之后，就开始敲诈我们说因为浴室门外面有水，然后他们浴室门外的墙是沾水会坏掉的，所以要我们赔偿。 我们为什么觉得是敲诈呢? 第一个，我们住了那么多的酒店，从来没见过因为浴室地上或者门外有水要求赔偿的，而且这家酒店的是淋浴间而不是浴缸，淋浴间的地板隔水砖还铺得特别矮(大概只有一个拖鞋高)，浴室花洒水量又很大，怎么样洗都会有水撒出来的，浴室门又离淋浴间很近，漫出去一点很正常。 第二个，作为一个酒店，你怎么会把沾水会坏掉的墙装在浴室门口呢，不说水漫出来的情况，难道客人洗完澡出来水蒸气不会弄坏这个墙吗。 更让我觉得酒店是惯犯的原因，是他们说完渗水这个问题之后，马上就说这个墙的损失肯定超过500刀，但是呢因为他觉得发生这种情况他们也有责任，所以他只扣掉我们押金一百刀就算了，说完我们正跟他理论，他就叫清洁来把地全拖干了，我们拍照留证据都来不及。 之后我们跟酒店经理讨论这个事情的过程也很不愉快，首先是我们说浴室会漏水到门外，你们的淋浴间设计也有问题，他则是说我们应该在入住时候就告诉他这个问题然后申请换房。然后就是反复强调这是佛罗里达州的法律，还说要报警来抓我们，我非常怀疑这个套路就是欺负过来海滩的新游客，甚至是黄种人，先是收取现金押金让你没办法让银行介入冻结，然后是欺负你需要赶路赶时间，怕麻烦，不想叫警察的心理，最后遇到难缠的就进行恐吓，我们也不知道有多少人最后一样自认了倒霉，放弃了押金。 对了，最后我们还想向他要求一张扣除押金缘由的说明书和证明，但他最后也只给了押金收取的证明，还拒绝在上面签字和盖章，事后想再维权也没有办法了。

Comfortable clean motel. Weather was chilly while we were in Sarasota so the fact the outdoor pool was heated was much appreciated for an evening swim when we arrived. Friendly greeting on reception.

I personally really liked the pool and or area around the property, it was really nice and definitely had a good atmosphere to it. The staff was also super nice and helpful the only thing that I had a problem with was the cleanliness in the room. My partner and I always wore shoes inside just because of how dirty the floor was. The bedding was fine until we removed the comforter and found old stains/burn holes on it. Same condition for the pillows as well so we ended up using our own bedding. There were dead bugs in a few places and the floorboards were pretty nasty too. There were a few spots in the shower where mold was and the floor in the bathroom was also very dirty. Dust and debris everywhere on top of stained towels. The bedding and towels did smell clean but they were just not clean enough for my liking/comfort. The tabletops and sinks were moderately clean as well as the toilet so no problem there. Last but not least, the inside of the curtains also had a few questionable stains that I felt uncomfortable with. Overall, the condition of the room definitely wasn’t the best and to say it was dirty is a bit of an understatement. Other than the room my partner and I we’re satisfied with the property as a whole as well as the staff just not the room.

The ac could not heat. The phone did not work. Check in was a disaster and I got no upgrade or complimentary drinks. Also the $100 deposit which they said they would return is pending to be charged on my AmEx card account.

This is a motel in the classic sense. You can park in front maybe 5 feet from your front door. Inside, it captures the mid century feel with the updated decor. My unit had the refrigerator and microwave just like the photos showed. Had my own A/C unit with a real thermostat. Walk-in shower was a nice modification. I'm sure they were tub/showers originally. The whole place was very recently renovated and it is very clean and sparkly! And a great bargain too. And as a final note, one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on in my travels. It's not 4 star. It's not supposed to be. But it really reminds me of family trips when I was a kid. And it was quiet during my stay too.

Our stay at Golden Host had its pros and cons. The pros: very comfortable bed, quiet room, functioning refrigerator and microwave, responsive to needs, paperless check in check out. The cons: housekeeping was spotty, no coffeemaker when we arrived, flickering outside light in parking lot at night, condition did not quite line up with pictures, older property in a not great neighborhood. Closet hanging rod rusted. Also, no breakfast provided. Most of these were addressed. BUT, the worst was that around 8:45 am, we were woken by a loud noise which turned out to be a crew resurfacing the walkways outside our rooms. Mgt informed me the staff was supposed to let us know this was going to be taking place (which did not happen with us), but that early on a Sunday?!! I was planning to give a higher score before the last issue. Sorry.

No wash cloths. Not enough towels. TV control did not work. Phone did not work. No gym Nice property nice pool
