This place had been on my list for years. We were in the area and finally got to go. We went in the afternoon. The fancy pink restaurant isn’t open at that time but you are able to tour the grounds on your own. We walked around and took pictures. The pink is unreal and everywhere. It’s eccentric and feels like you’re in Alice and Wonderland or Barbie Land. There’s a gift shop upstairs where you can buy the goblets. There’s a gift shop downstairs and a restroom. Go into the restrooms. The eccentric details are even there. The men’s bathroom has a waterfall urinal. The women’s bathroom has beautiful details. On the main floor we had lunch at the Copper Cafe. It was good food. Service was great. Order the world famous Pink Champagne cake. I’m not even a fan of cake and I enjoyed it. This place was definitely a highlight of our visit to the Pismo area.

This hotel deliberately is so cute and so quaint. Everything was Victorian farmhouse-styled, complete with a four-poster bed and floral wallpaper. We received complimentary coffee upon arriving and were invited to a wine tasting, that we did not attend. Our room was massive. Despite facing the parking lot, we felt a world away. The bathroom was spacious and clean. We woke up to the sound of a rooster crowing and even met a fancy-looking chicken in the parking lot on our way to leave. SLO is adorable and one night was not enough for us.

Some of the previous comments were quite negative and we found our 1 night stay delightful. Extremely clean and well organized for a handicapped room. The front office personnel were delightful. We would definitely stay here again good value as well

Love what they’ve done with the decor. It appears the Hilton took over a motel and transformed it into a surfer like lodge. They bathrooms and furnishings have all been updated. The lobby and common areas give casual, fun, cozy vibes. The bartender Danny was personable, informative and just a cool dude. Made a good cocktail. Wings were delicious as were the wines. Stayed for one evening while passing through to visit universities and loved it. Clean, updated and fun. Check out the pool and fire pits too.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn SLO in early November of 2023 and were very pleasantly impressed. We stayed for two nights for a race in nearby Santa Margarita, which meant we had to be up and out of the hotel by 5am both days. When we checked in, we asked the front desk if hot water would be available since breakfast didn't start until 6am, and the front desk staff went out of their way both days to ensure there was hot water prepped especially for us by 4:45am. The room was clean, modern, and the bed was very comfortable. WiFi was fast and water pressure in the shower was great. We called down the first night for an extra blanket and it was delivered within about 5 minutes. The person who made our stay extra special was Jessica at the front desk. She took the time to ask about our stay when checking in and then went out of her way to remember our names whenever we walked by the front desk, asked about our races, and generally made us feel like we were at home. The hotel is well maintained, in a great location just off the freeway, and was more than you'd expect from a Hampton Inn. If we were in San Luis Obispo again, I would go out of my way to stay at the Hampton SLO.
