Room dated , cracked ceiling, wall paper coming off the wall .

The hotel charged guests 50 GBP for checkout at 12:30! Despite bills paid in advance and notified front desk of leaving at noon time next day ！

Quite frankly, by day 2 we had fallen in love with the place, all staff on all sections were brilliant. All facilities were clean, well maintained and up to spec. Indoor pool, outdoor pool, 2 saunas, ice plunge pool, tennis courts, orchard and children's play area. There is also archery, bike hire and even boat hire so you can have a little trip on the river. We didn't do breakfast but there is a lovely little coffee bar with pastries and for the evening meal the main restaurant operates a buffet style with about 30 options so you could try a little bit of everything. The quality of the food was also very good. Finally I'll just mention that my partner enjoyed a couple of treatments at the spa and said her experience was superb. Thanks also to trip.com for offering an excellent room rate.

Room was small and old fashioned. No plug sockets next to bed. Bathroom was very small and shower in bath difficult to get in to. There was also a constant humming noise like a generator which made things rattle in the room. Needs some sound proofing for the motorway too. Spa was lovely and enjoyed that. Food in the lounge was not quite as good as expected and my flatbread was sent back as I couldn't cut it. A comfortable stay for a night before flying but I wouldn't want to stay in the same room again.

It’s always lovely at the Runnymede which is why we return year after year. There is refurbishment and construction work going on at the moment but I have to say this didn’t disrupt our stay too much . We were upgraded to a superior room which was spacious and comfortable. The staff everywhere were welcoming and ever helpful. The food at breakfast and evening buffet was delicious. I think there could be some improvement with the food served in the Lounge area . However it’s still a very relaxing area to sit and read or chat with a lovely fireplace and comfy sofas . The spa is great although the pool temperature is slightly too cold and could be a few degrees warmer especially in these colder months.
All in all another very pleasant stay and we look forward to returning next year and seeing all the new improvements at the hotel.

The Runnymede on Thames is a nice located hotel with good amenities onsite and nearby. Unfortunately we missed the summer season to do some of the activities. The hotel was clean and room equipped with basic necessities, the pool/spa area was really nice and breakfast was a good selection. I will definitely be back
