Carnalbanagh House

Our second stay at Carnalbanagh House and everything was excellent, the location is wonderful. The room was beautiful and the breakfasts were delicious with so much choice, and all home made. The hosts Shaun and Irene were fantastic and so welcoming, we will definitely return. If you don’t chose to stay here you are you are certainly missing out on the best B&B in Port Stewart with the most perfect hosts.

Excellent . Spotlessly clean . All amenities in bedroom- fridge , safe, hair dryer, ironing board , kettle, tea/coffee /biscuits etc. Amazing choice for breakfast . Very helpful hosts . Customer service first class . Best B&B in Portstewart . Looking forward to a return visit .

We were extremely fortunate to have spent 3 nights at the Carnalbanagh House, enjoying the gracious hospitality of Shaun and Irene and their family. The location is perfect, just outside the hustle of Portstewart and is situated on the family farm with unforgettable views to Castlerock and the Inishowen Peninsula beyond. Our room was nothing less than outstanding, it was very comfortable with everything considered. The breakfast offers exceptional choices and as you would expect all homemade including Irene's delicious Wheaton Bread. You absolutely have to stay here if Portstewart or the vicinity is in your plans. It is simply wonderful and you will feel at home as soon as you arrive.

We spent a night here on our cycle tour of Ireland and so occupied most, if not all the rooms. We loved the picturesque setting on a farm. There is a beautiful garden with views of Lough Foyle. The rooms were delightfully clean and homely. We made use of the kitchen in the evening to cook a group meal. We were short of a few utensils and some cooking oil, I recall. Immediately our host provided these. So we hand a grand evening in the house itself. The breakfast in the morning was superb and served with a smile. We left with your warm smiles in our hearts. thank you

Fantastic stay. The service was first class and staff were very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and the setting was stunning with breathtaking views. Musseden temple could even be seen in the background (pictures don't do the view justice). The location was extremely handy, only a 5 minute drive to the main promenade of Portsweart. Thoughly enjoyed the stay and would definitely stay again and recommend to friends/family.

Just realised I forgot to write a review. We stayed for a week beginning of August last year. It was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had. Breakfast fry was a good start to the day. Free wi-fi and had a safe. Absolutely spotless. Our room at the front had excellent views. Best of both worlds with both sea views and countryside views. Great hosts. A great find - would highly recommend. Looking forward to returning this year.

A wonderful stay at this fabulous B&B which is set in a great location. The house and rooms are beautiful, the breakfasts absolutely delicious and the service impeccable. Thank you so much to Irene, Shaun and Rose for making our stay so special, we’ll definitely be back!

Had a week here end of July. Breakfast is very good, home made wheaten bread absolutely delicious. Fridge in room very handy, as is safe. Nice to sit in the garden for a picnic when the weather is good. Gave the room a 4 rating as the mattress was very soft, we both had bad backs, but didn't realise until we came home and got into our own bed just how soft the bed had been, and aches disappeared. Good location for Portstewart, Portrush and Coleraine. Sadly prices in Portstewart and Portrush are getting too expensive for us and I don't think we will be returning.

We had an exceptional stay at Carnalbanagh House for 2 nights, we wish our stay was for longer. The location of the house was perfect with close driving distance to the centers of both Portstewart and Portrush. Whilst being next to the coast the house was situated near a farm making the perfect mix of coastal and countryside with amazing views. The hosts went out of their way to make sure we had the best stay possible whilst giving us our own space. The bedroom we stayed in had an amazing view, very soft carpet and everything you could ask for inside, with lots of towels, facilities to make hot drinks and keep things cool in the fridge. The house also had a guest kitchen which we didn’t use but imagine it being a great addition for guests who would like to make their own food. The breakfast that was included in our stay was also excellent. The menu had a great range of meals with most options including homemade or organic ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed both breakfasts which were freshly made and delicious. We are very satisfied with our stay and believe a lot of effort was put in by our hosts. We hope to return and will definitely be recommending Carnalbanagh House to people we know. Thank you very much again, we had a wonderful time.
