A reasonable buffet. We didn't try the a la carte options (if there were any). The room was okay but a slightly strange shape and the shower was weak. Great views across a lake though and particularly good for early morning monkeys on the balcony.

Beautiful hotel with stunning views over the lake. Very nice room with large balcony. Very good shower. Nice covered bar (terrace) overlooking the lake. Restaurant was good. Buffet with a nice choice of warm dishes; friendly staff and warm welcome.

A good stay only one night. Room good although AC a bit aggressive , buffet dinner very good and it had an excellent bar. Views very good. We used the pool which was fine. Breakfast all good as well. Service good. The guests were very international which was fun. over a nice stay.

Hotel set on many levels. Acceptable rooms with dark furniture. Had a balcony but couldn’t leave it open due to the monkeys. Buffet style food, mainly spicy. Good view of the lake on a non rainy day, shame about the factory on the far side of the lake.

It is the location that makes the hotel special. Other than that, there is nothing as a wow factor. Minimum level of buffet and rooms are not that great. However, given the price point, it is a good deal. staff is really freindly and go out of their way to support. Overall.. satisfied.

I recently stayed at this Hotel Giritale and ha d a great experience along with my family members. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and comfortable. I particularly enjoyed the hotel’s location, which was convenient. Overall i would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay😉

Very beautiful view from this property, staff will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Food is very tasty too. Don’t miss a beer at the bar counter which gives you lovely views, there fish & chips are very tasty, rooms are quite big & clean too. You can easily access to kadulla national park from this hotel.

I am Nadeesha. End of September 2023, I stayed in Giritale Hotel with my family. It was a nice stay at Giritale Hotel. Staff was very much friendly and helpful. food was delicious. Rooms were clean. Nice lake view with the room and out side. calm place. Special thanks to Miss Thilini, She was very helpful. Kids enjoyed a lot. I would highly recommend this hotel and would like to stay again.

We stayed HB for 3 lovely nights here and used the hotel as a base (we had a car) to visit Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa & Minneriya National Park (recommend them all especially Minneriya NP while not full of elephants at the moment we saw 8 together and had this beautiful park mostly to ourselves). The view from our room (monkeys included), and the terrace was wonderful and we enjoyed it very much - in the day, at the gorgeous sunsets & some spectacular storms at night. The staff were all very friendly and the food very tasty (I can’t eat gluten or dairy and that was catered for at every meal). We also enjoyed a full body massage at the hotel’s facilities, this was amazing! Very relaxing and after a hike up Sigiriya very welcome. Would recommend a stay here anytime.
