I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Chestnuts Boutique B&B! I was able to park up my car at the front of the establishment and walk around Bath for the rest of my visit! Attractions and places of interest were around a 15 minute walk away- which is fantastic! The host was so helpful and attentive. My room was clean and comfortable! I had access to plenty of wardrobe space,a TV with Netflix, a fridge, kettle and a well stocked box of tea treats (& fresh cakes too!) Breakfast was gorgeous and fresh. There were plenty of local leaflets available to read about local events and attractions too. Thank you very much!

Lovely place and lovely people. Great customer service/care, great greeting, and what a lovely room, too. I loved everything about this place. Location is not the best (over the hill) but has great views of the city. Breakfast is good and the whole place gives you a cozy feeling that you'd like to stay at this lovely B&B more. Stayed for one night but would certainly choose this place if I get back to Bath again. Thanks.

What a little gem! Set in a quite area, but only a couple of hundred yards to the city centre. The staff are very polite and attentive. The breakfast is worth staying for alone, I like the fact it comes with linen napkins, and that just typifies the standards at this hotel. Its great value for what it offers.

Self check in was a bit strange as we have not experienced that before in Bath however it worked extremely well and as the instructions were emailed it was simple. The room was stunning and huge! We stayed in Room 1 which was on the lower ground floor. The bathroom was lovely with a huge shower and the bath in the room was an unusual but nice surprise. Breakfast is pretty ordered and was absolutely outstanding. The staff were so pleasant and helpful- we will return!

The hotel was amazing. From the clean rooms to yummy breakfast ( huge choice) to helpful and friendly staff and lastly the lovely and friendly staff at the bar and restaurant area. Highly recommend.

Attended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful. We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest. The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss. One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go. Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109. Enjoyed the stay. I came here with two friends and I stayed in a room by myself. Spacious and clean room even tho some touch up in the bathroom would be nice. Very friendly staff from the moment we checked in till we checked out. Lovely spa facilities. Beautiful hotel. Safe area as we walked to the city centre and back at different times. Quiet but safe.

Stayed at Wentworth House for one night. The location was handy — only about a 6 or 7-minute taxi ride into the centre of Bath. Parking on site was free, which is always a bonus, though spaces were limited. The shower worked fine with good hot water, and at £120 a night for three people, the price wasn’t unreasonable for Bath. On the downside, the place is very dated and could do with some serious modernisation. Our room had a noticeable damp smell and the single-glazed windows didn’t help keep the room warm or quiet. I can’t comment on the food as we didn’t eat there, but overall, it’s an okay option if you just need somewhere for a night and aren’t too fussy — though a refresh would really lift the place.
