"Having stayed at Apex (same location) previously we knew what to expect, but because we’d come from another hotel chain that morning we were reminded about how much better Apex really is. From the moment we walked through the front door and were greeted by friendly, knowledgeable staff that checked us in without any fuss to the comfortable and spacious room with balloons (ordered separately) and delicious food for breakfast. Great location and great accommodation. Highly recommended."

"We stayed at the Lansdowne Grove during our recent trip to Bath Christmas Market . This hotel is very comfortable , warm and welcoming . We loved the location it was easy to get into the centre but be warned its a very steep climb back up to . The beds are extremely comfortable although the pillows not so much . Our room had everything you could possibly need , the shower was amazing and loads of hot water .There was loads of options for breakfast too overall good value for money and we will definitely be back ."

ผผู้เข้าพักIt was a very special reunion for a group of nurses celebrating 50 years since we started our course in May 1975. In those days this hotel was a nurse's home and we all lived here for around 18 months. We had booked lunch,the food was lovely and the service was amazing. We so enjoyed our stay, 5 of us stayed for one or two nights. So beautiful and peaceful, couldn't have been better. Benice organised things for us, highly recommend her if you are booking an event.

The hotel itself was ok, a little bit outdated. I found the breakfast was quite expensive, although all you can eat cooked breakfast, not sure it was worth £50 for 2 mornings.
LLiam and JennyAttended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful.
We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest.
The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss.
One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go.
Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109.
