Devon House Guest House

Lovely place to stay. Carl and Trace could not do enough for us. Clean tidy room, had everything we needed. Lovely decoration throughout the whole house. Continental breakfast was very good. Lots of information regarding places to eat, places to go, would recommend the steam train.

Had a great stay here, beautiful house, bed was super comfy and the hosts were very helpful and friendly. Loads to do all around the English riviera. Would highly recommend your stay here. Will definitely be back. Thank you Tace and Carl. :) :)

An excellent stay! We loved this guest house and had everything we wished while travelling from Australia. Its full of character charm with a modern twist and was super clean. The hosts Carl and Tace went above and beyond to make our first visit to Paignton a wonderful one. The beach is a stones throw away and it’s close to everything, including an awesome English pub at the end of the road which became our favourite. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

Absolutely beautifully kept house and friendly welcoming hosts. The room had everything we needed including the fan for the warm nights! Every inch was super sparing clean. No curfew and lots of recommendations on places to eat near by! We will definitely return one day. Thank you so much for a lovely weekend

Had a wonderful stay in the Devon house guest house. Close proximity to the sea was amazing and we happened to pick the hottest weekend in September haha. Met by friendly helpful owner. We stayed for 2 nights for a wedding. Room was newly refurbished, comfortable bed and pillows. Would recommend!

Had a lovely stay, very comfy bed, very clean and Karl was an exceptional host. Nothing was too much trouble. Very close to beach about 5 mins walk, and close to restaurants and bars. Very quietly situated. If you want live bands the Spinning wheel, on the front. Great Carvery at the Hyde Denby on Sundays. Harbour Inn do a great tapas.

I feel slightly guilty for not giving a 5* rating as overall it did deserve it,the only negative was that we were given quite a small room to accommodate my wife,myself and our 9 year old granddaughter,maybe due to its popularity and there only being the 1 room available. That said, for our weekend stay it as absolutely fine,although slightly cramped. As said in the many previous reviews the location is great,a short walk to both the seafront and the town centre where there is all of the required amenities in abundance,another small negative is that there is no parking available at the guesthouse or directly outside in the street,although there is a good sized multi-storey car park very close by which cost us £9.50 per day which is very reasonable. Carl was very helpful with any queries and even recommended us a great place nearby for a great cooked breakfast [which he doesn't offer],FYI The Grand Central just around the corner. Overall a brilliant place to stay and i would not hesitate to book again in the future if we could get a larger room and would certainly recommend it to others.

Beautiful BnB right in the heart of Paignton, the owner Carl was great and very friendly, the rooms are some of the best BnB Ive ever stayed in, we only stopped 1 night but next time I'm in Paignton I'm staying at Carls Place.

We stayed in a lovely room, that was beautifully done and spotlessly clean. The hosts were very accommodating and made us each a lovely continental breakfast with hot toasties! It was only a short walk to the main seafront and we were able to explore Paignton and surrounding areas very easily. Highly recommended.
