Fuzeyuan Vintage GuesthouseTucked away by a lane on the northeastern side of Jianshui Ancient Town, Fuzeyuan Vintage Guesthouse is just a 10-minute walk from Chaoyang Tower and a 5-minute walk to landmarks like Zhujia Garden and the core area of Jianshui Ancient Town. Here, you can fully immerse yourself in the timeless charm and daily vibrancy of Lin’an (the ancient name of Jianshui) while escaping the hustle and bustle of the main streets—enjoying a peaceful retreat that offers "serenity amid bustle".The name "Fuze" carries the warm intentions of two generations, derived from key characters in the host father’s and son’s names: The character "Fu" (meaning "blessing") embodies the father’s simple aspirations for life, as he wishes to share the blessing of "peace and smoothness" with every guest; The character "Ze" (meaning "moisture/nourishment") reflects the son’s meticulous pursuit of guests’ stay experience, representing nourishing care that touches the heart, allowing travelers to feel the warmth of home. Every stroke in the name speaks to the two generations’ shared commitment to the belief that "guests are family".As one of the few vintage-style guesthouses in Jianshui, every corner of the space exudes the textured charm of time: Elm wood tables and chairs glow with a warm patina, and ceramic table lamps adorn the bedside. There are no exaggerated "internet-famous" designs; instead, every detail feels like "grandma’s old house"—familiar and comforting.A tea table is set up in the courtyard: In the morning, you can brew a pot of tea with Jianshui Purple Pottery while listening to morning birdsong from the ancient town; at night, you can gather around a warm lamp and chat with the owner about old town stories—like which shop serves the most authentic Water Spinach Shoot Vermicelli Soup, or which lane hides a century-old well. Staying here is more than just checking into a room; it’s a slow journey of "living in the ancient town, encountering old times, and feeling human warmth". Amid this retro atmosphere, every guest can rediscover the long-missed sense of relaxation and tranquility.
"Great location. Parking garage right under the hotel which was great. You can walk to some of the tourist stuff. Lots of restaurants. We choose the place due to the fact that it allows dogs. The rooms are arranged around beautiful court yards. What was really unpractical was that there is not really space for suitcases and that the light in the bathroom area had a sensor build in that would turn on every time someone would step into the area. Especially annoying at night. They recommended a wet tissue to put over the sensor which did help."
