Hotel Metropole Inn

Booked since I wanted a clean n cheap hotel in Andheri to sleep and was going to be out 15+ hours in the day. Location: Good in terms of connectivity but scary if you are a single female traveller as it is right next to a super busy and shady bar. So if you reach here in the night, your cab will be surrounded by men trying to sell you alcohol. Room: The rooms are very small even by Mumbai standards but are very clean (which borderline makes up for the room being small if you are staying alone). Do not expect a view or to even be able to crack open a window. Curtains and windows are seldom cleaned and are unhygienic. Service: No restaurant hence breakfast is very limited and is served in the busy lobby right at the entrance which is very odd. The housekeeping staff is friendly and nice. Reception Services: Very slow, do not expect to get your room quickly if you are tired after your travel and want to rest. The lady at the reception is rude for no reason, speaks in a condescending ***ner making you feel unwelcomed. I had an argument with her over hotel policies not being listed correctly on Google or MakeMyTrip. If you are planning to have visitors (their policy of the visitors not staying over is completely fair), would suggest that you avoid. I was in town to meet friends and fell sick so wanted to still meet them but at my hotel room during the day. It was a nigh**are to get them in. Everytime someone came to visit, reception asked them a billion questions, made them feel like they are doing something wrong visiting me, took a Xerox of photo ID proof of every individual (unnecessary). All of the above when they were visiting complying to the hotel policy of no visitors post 9 PM. Felt like a hostel with a warden instead of a hotel. I will not stay with them again.

Did not care to check the TA reviews in detail and that turned out to be the da****er. No complaints on the location of the hotel and the amenities and cleanliness in the room. But the fact is, there is not enough space in the property to effectively turn this into a good hotel. It is right next to the Western Express Highway metro station. The entrance opens into the lobby.....which doubles up as a breakfast area (came to understand this the next morning)....quite odd sitting at the front lobby and having breakfast with people walking in and out of the hotel....almost seemed like sitting at a cafe on the pavement. The breakfast buffet spread was limited and the items rather odd (who has pizza for breakfast?? maybe I am not informed enough....). No qualms about the amenities in the room, kept pretty clean and tidy, all functioning very well.....but the room was very small. There was a french window overlooking the metro station, which was not much of a use bacause of just that....you would find people from the metro platform gawking at you....so just kept the curtains drawn all the time. I found the location to be the only positive....that too if you are prepared to walk to your work location in the scorching summer heat....no rickshaw or cab for a 5-7 min walkable distance. Overall, I found this place to be way overrated, especially at this price point.

I liked the reception, service and the up-keep. It was a comfortable stay. The people were nice, knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. I will stay there again.

Major issue was hot water. With this class of hotel, I can at least imagine to get continuous hot water. Even after multiple reminders there was not hot water available in shower during late night or during late evenings. I was not impressed with attitude of person who is in charge of breakfast. You can serve your guest with smile or show attitude and serve the same food. It does not cost you to smile and serve food. Also the area around hotel gets really shady at late night. So with same price you may book any other actual three star hotel near to the airport. Only convenient part was that weh metro station is besides the hotel.

there was nothing to like about this hotel. It is a really bad location by a train station. Also, facility is very dirty and was very unsatisfied. Also checked out after one day. Did not even want to stay the night the first night. Write this zero.👎

Hospitality services provided in this hotel. Very Near to Airport. Near to metro station and busiest business place near to hotel. Easy access to anywhere in the cityarea. But only thing is traffic crowd area.

The most rude staff u will find in hospitality industry. They will not allow your guest to visit you in your room even when you offer to pay for double occp. What the hotel ***ager says “it’s my ego I will not allow your guest inside” EGO word in hospitality you will find this a lot in this hotel.

The location is 10-15 min away from Bombay exhibition Center and thats the best. Surrounding area is not the best, heavy trafic direct in front of the entrance.
