เรามีช่วงเวลาที่ดีที่กรีนแลนด์วิลล่า ตั้งอยู่ติดกับสถานีรถไฟ Kithal Ella ซึ่งคุณสามารถขึ้นรถไฟที่มีชื่อเสียงที่ผ่านสะพานเก้าโค้งได้โดยตรง สถานที่ให้บริการมีความสวยงามพร้อมทุกสิ่งที่เราต้องการรวมถึงห้องครัวที่ยอดเยี่ยม มันสะอาดมากอากาศถ่ายเทได้ดีและที่สําคัญกว่านั้นมันให้ความรู้สึกเหมือนอยู่บ้าน เจ้าของใช้เวลาในการตกแต่งด้วยรสชาติที่ดี นอกจากนี้เขาเป็นคนที่อ่อนน้อมถ่อมตนและสุภาพ เมื่อมาถึงเขาขับรถให้เราซื้อของชํา วันอื่นเขานําผักที่เขาปลูกให้เราซึ่งเป็นท่าทางที่ดี กล่าวไว้ว่ามีปัญหาสองสามข้อที่ต้องแก้ไข การเชื่อมต่อ WiFi ไม่ค่อยดีอาจเป็นเพราะทําเลที่ตั้ง แต่เราต่อสู้กับมัน และอาหารเช้าก็หนักมากซึ่งอาจเหมาะกับคุณแต่ไม่ได้เหมาะกับเราโดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่ง อย่างไรก็ตาม เราจะจองอีกครั้งถ้าฉันกลับมาที่เอลล่า เราสามารถแนะนํา Greenland villa เท่านั้น

The location was absolutely stunning in the heart of the jungle but only a short walk to the nine arch bridge (you can even see the train passing through the trees during the day). The bird song and jungle noise was so peaceful, the rooms were clean, quality bedding and well thought out little touches in terms of toiletries (even some books on the shelf). The breakfast was delicious and so much food! But most importantly to note Yugesh was fantastic at attending to our needs whether that be to organise our laundry to be sent out and cleaned, making sure we had everything we needed for breakfast or coming with us on the walk to the bridge to get the best spots to film the train crossing, pictures etc. He was very kind, professional and thoughtful, he really made our trip. Another person to note was Nimal, the TukTuk driver who helped us easily get about. Free shuttle to Ella town from the hotel which is great! Anything else at an extra cost. Highly recommend this unique stay.

When we originally booked there was only 1 review so we were hesitant to book but decided to anyway. It turned out to be the best decision and we couldn’t be happier. The room and view is absolutely beautiful. Watching the sunrise and hearing the birds from the big and comfortable balcony was a highlight of our trip. The hosts really thought of everything. They have a tuktuk service to take you into the city, the hotel is a few minutes walk from the nine arches, lots of amenities you might need, and delicious breakfast. We hope to stay again! It’s a little high up on a hill, but the view from my balcony was gorgeous. It’s also right off the main street, so if you don’t mind the trek up and down you’re still relatively well-situated to be near the backpackers’ bars and restaurants and shops. Breakfast had a lot of local Sri Lankan options which I greatly appreciated, and staff was also happy to explain each dish to newcomers. A small piece of advice for the team though: perhaps hire a few female staffers? As a woman traveling alone, one of the first things I noticed was the all-male staff—or at least, I didn’t see a single woman working there in my 2-night stay. I don’t have a problem with it, but newer solo female travelers might unintentionally be scared off

It was a very cozy stay, we loved the kindness and hospitality of the owner’s family! It’s a bit far from city centre and cars can’t drop you off there exactly but we were ok with that and it’s very convenient to get to Ella Rock and Kitha Ella station. Breakfast was delicious and the views were incredible too! The room is also very spacious!

This hotel is beautiful and modern. Location is great, easy to get to restaurants and shops outside of the hotel. Staff have been very attentive and helpful. They clean the rooms promptly. The laundry service is great. The staff even ran to help us push the car up the hill when it was stuck. Room service food has been very good too, their devilled chicken and pizza were the best. Highly recommend staying with Te Dalu if you are visiting Ella.

Приехали уставшими и не в духе, но нас так душевно встретили, что настроение поднялось сразу. Хозяева напоили чаем, пообщались по-домашнему – чувствуешь себя не клиентом, а желанным гостем. Отель на вершине горы, и из каждого номера – выход на террасу с потрясающим видом. Утром просыпаешься – а перед тобой только горы и тишина. Номер чистый, уютный, всё продумано до мелочей. Завтрак готовили специально под наши предпочтения: свежие фрукты, яичница, тосты, даже смузи! Персонал не формально вежливый, а по-настоящему добрый. Если хотите не просто переночевать, а почувствовать заботу и отдохнуть душой – это точно ваше место. Хочется вернуться снова и всем рекомендовать. Огромное спасибо хозяевам за такую атмосферу!

Keeping in mind this is a 3 star hotel, the positives are the rooms are big with a balcony looking out at amazing views (ours anyway), and the pool is clean and quite big also with amazing views and a concrete elephant water feature!!! The location of the hotel is pretty good too - far enough from other properties to be quiet but close enough to Ella main drag that you can walk in 10-15 minutes or pay a tuk tuk driver double the rate of Colombo to get to and from. The big negative for us was that despite being told upon checking in that the room would be cleaned every day, it was not. And I was told the reason why was that we didn’t hand in our key for it to be done - which seems bizarre after staying in hotels for decades and not being told to or having to hand in a key in order to get a standard daily room clean. The insinuation that it was our fault for not handing in a key (not that we were told to do so on checking in) was extremely irritating. Food was ok but overpriced so we ate elsewhere (lots of options). There were lots of little things in the rooms that could be easily addressed to make them nicer - definitely not having ripped old bath towels, and removing an empty TV bracket from the wall (like a TV used to be there but not anymore - or was it just our room, who knows). All these little things add up to I really think the room rate is too high - but we are here in the high season so maybe that’s just the going rate.
