Hotel Riu Gran Canaria - All Inclusive

Just returned from a lovely week, the staff are all very friendly and welcoming, the whole place is kept beautifully clean, there are plenty of sun beds, the only area that gets really full is by the infinity pool. The food was great and there’s something for everyone, we used the app to book the themed restaurants which apart from the gourmet one are also buffet style but much smaller so a far nicer experience than the main buffet restaurant. We would definitely recommend and return.

Just returned from riu gran canaria Hotel what can I say we couldn't fault anything food was plentiful and very nice where ever you ate ,staff all very nice and very attentive, cleaning staff did a brilliant job our room was kept spotless they work very hard,wine and cocktails all very good ,entertainment was brilliant every night really enjoyed it thanks to everyone for making our stay so nice would definitely return.

We have been here several times! With the new a la carte restaurant and also the sportbar every family member in our company had something to do. The staff is so nice and the rooms are really good. Also the location of the hotel is brilliant. The only thing to comment is the supply of glutenfree food. The new cafeteria for exampel didnt have any option for my son. And the buffet has a very limited supply to choose from. If you walk through the buffet there is a gluten symbol on almost everything, even rice. So just 2-3 more options for the warm food would be great, he cant choose hardly anything. We can preorder of course and that works fine, but it removes the flexibiliy to order in advance for every meal and also the value of money for all-inclusive. So that would be the only thing to comment on!

Our second visit here and we will be back, hardly anything to fault. Perfect, we will be back later this year. 😃👍

It is the 3rd time we have stayed at the hotel. Definitely a very nice hotel where everything works. It is a pleasure to see how the buildings and the garden are maintained to perfection. We also love the good and varied music entertainment.

As a regular Riu guest (mainly Mexico) I was very impressed with the Riu Gran Canaria. The grounds, the room and the standard of the evening shows were exceptional. Lots of activities in the day to keep both adults and children entertained. I particularly enjoyed the art classes for adults, really nice touch for people that want to take part in activities but are not sport minded. The Riu parties were fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone there. We used the courtesy room on our last day which was great, lots of showers available and a big room to spread out in. There are a couple of adjustments that could be made which would make a big difference, one of them being how allergens are catered for, in particular a gluten allergy. I have been to previous hotels where there has been a small, dedicated gluten free section. At breakfast there was no gluten free bread/cereals/pastries available and no cakes in the restaurant or the coffee bar and no gluten free pasta alternative. If there could be a small area with a dedicated toaster and bread etc it would make a big difference to allergy sufferers. I have read on other reviews that gluten free food can be provided on request but there isn’t always the time for this, particularly at breakfast. It would make life a lot easier if it was more easily accessible and to help yourself like all the other guests. We have also visited other Riu’s where their selection of cocktails we of a lot better quality and made from scratch as apposed to the pre mixed cocktails. Overall brilliant hotel and staff, if the small adjustments to the food and drink could be made it would be exceptional.

Looking into past reviews looks like below 2 things the hotel won't change - Loud music until 10:30-11pm (especially Friday party which was extremely loud) - 'Heated' pools. Some people may call it refreshing, but from my perspective, it was just cold. Apart from it hotel is fantastic. Great food, but in the end I got bored a bit Amazing animations for children and adults Everyone was kind and smiling a lot Great garden

Lovely, recently refurbished hotel,spotlessly clean throughout. Spacious rooms with generously sized beds. Amazing variety of delicious foods throughout all restaurants and plenty of bars and cafes. Special heads up to the groundskeepers, the landscaping is stunning. Early evening musical entertainment at Sunset bar. Evening entertainment at Tivoli was mostly good and finished at 11pm. Fab location with glorious seaviews from Atlantico and lovely promenade walks from back of hotel. Only minimal complaint was the quality of the towels and bedding. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel in all respects. Friendly and helpful reception staff, bar and restaurant staff friendly and efficient . Hotel facilities very good and grounds very well looked after and every where clean and tidy
