La Villa Marbella - Old Town

After 2 weeks in Morocco, we made a stop over again in Marbella on our return trip to Madrid. It was lovely to pay another visit to Marbella. The weather was not ideal ( a bit rainy ) but our stay at La Villa Marbella was second to none as the previous time. The rooms are so beautiful, so comfortable that the the rain didn't spoil our stay. We absolutely loved our dinner at The Orange Tree ( a must ). A big thanks to Isabel who helped us immensely to change our train tickets. La Villa Marbella is amazing !

This property is lovely and the staff are marvelous. If you go (and do so by all means) try to stay in the room with the hot tub as that's a nice treat to use after a full day of wondering the streets, shopping, eating and just enjoying Marbella. The location of La Villa is perfect as everything is an easy and visually pleasing walk, inclusive of restaurants, bars and the beach. The quaint and quiet property matches the quaintness of the town.

La Villa Marbella was the perfect place to stay in Marbella. We had visited Marbella ten years ago and knew what area we wanted to stay. There are many choices of hotels in the Old Town but I will not hesitate to say that this is the BEST. Our room was decorated in a beautiful stone and teak motif with gorgeous handpicked Indonesian furniture. Although it had wonderful windows out to a tree lined walkway, is was extremely quiet. The large bed was so comfortable and the room provided every amenity you would need. On top of all that, the location was perfect. Oh, and don’t forget to checkout the rooftop deck - a huge plus! Rose, Ben, Isabella and team could not have been more hospitable and helpful. We can’t wait to come back!

We had a wonderful experience at La Villa Marbella! We went there for a golf trip. The location is perfect to discover many golf courses around the city and enjoy in the evening the old center of Marbella. There is a large choice of authentic and typical restaurants nearby the hotel. It’s was a pleasure to discuss with the staff of the hotel. They helped us organise our trip and gave us lots of ideas to make our holidays even better. This is the second time we come to the Villa Marbella and the rooms are always very confortable and quiet. We will come again, this is for sure one of my favorite place in Spain ! Coralie

We came to la villa marbella and stayed in one of their apartments in the old town. It was perfect for a family visit as it was in the centre of town and just a short walk to the beach ( 22 degrees in February ! ) The accommodation was beautiful as well as being functional with everything you need ( hairdryers, lovely toiletries , food and drink making facilities, well equipped kitchen etc) It was easy to just bring carry on luggage with no need to additional buy on arrival. The staff are friendly, totally knowledgeable of the surrounding area and you feel like nothing is too much trouble. I would totally recommend it for a short stay or a longer visit in any season.

On our visit to the south of Spain we decided to make a stop in the famous resort town of Marbella (we were underwhelmed) . Given it was off-season we found this well rated lodging for a reasonable price. It is located in the old town which was handy for restaurants and shopping but not great for parking (we parked about 500 meters away in the Mercado garage for 22 euros/day). It did not help that it was raining when we arrived... The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with good suggestions and advice. Since it had been two months since I had booked the room I forgot what I had signed up for so I was a bit surprised by how small our room was. It was nicely appointed and the bathroom itself was roomy but the bedroom portion was tight. It did have a coffee maker, a safe, a ceiling fan, and a small frig but little room for luggage. The room was quiet at night as long as you had the windows closed. In summer they offer breakfast on the roof terrace of their main building. We took advantage of this terrance, since it was unused, to read in the late afternoon since no one else seemed to know about it. It would have been interesting to see the other rooms of this lodging to see what is possible - they are spread out in other nearby neighborhood buildings. Overall a fine place to stay as long as you know some of the downsides.

This hotel is a true gem. The beds are comfortable, the staff exudes kindness to the highest degree, and their attention to detail is unparalleled. The rooms are perfectly appointed with unique furnishings, and the hotel's location in the city center is ideal, with exceptional restaurants suggested by the reception staff and just a stone's throw from the sea for lovely walks. There are no words to describe how easily you will fall in love with this place. Give it a try! Myself and my wife spent 3 wonderful days in Marbella during our trip to Spain. La Villa Marbella is a beautiful Boutique Hotel right in the heart of the old town. The room was very comfortable , beautifully decorated and extremely well maintained and equipped. We have used Marbella as a base to visit Rhonda , Malaga and Tarifa. I would like to highlight the staff service provided by Isabela and Juan who were very informative and professional . Unfortunately we don't come often to Spain but if we do , we would definitely stay here again. Best regards Michael Perth Australia
