Hotel Campagnola

Upon arrrival in the hotel, the receptionist asked for our ID cards. She took them and put them somewhere behind the desk. I asked the ID cards back at the end of the check-in procedure, but she refused. The computer was not working and the had to process them for the local police. It would be ready around 3 hours later. When I insisted I did not want to leave the ID cards behind, suddenly the computer was working (Lie 1) , but now she had to process the cards of other guests first. She definitely needed to process the cards in order of arrival. I asked her why, she responded that we should not think that since we came in last, that we would get a priority over other guests. By this time she had already raised here voice and basically screamed in my face that this was normal in Italian hotels and that I should know better. I suggested I would come back at the the time at which she would want to process our cards, she refused. She did not want to talk to us anymore, neither would she give us our cards back. She just started doing stuff on the computer, ignoring our presence at the counter. I told her that her customer service was terrible and that I had never been treated like this in a hotel before. What a horrible way of beginning your stay at any hotel. When I asked for the manager or a supervisor, she told me that she was the manager, I could not talk with anyone else. (Lie 2) After dropping our luggage in the room, I went back to the reception to tell the receptionist how I felt about the way the had treated us 5 minutes earlier. She smashed our ID cards in the desk (lie 3, she had processed ID cards by then, it was not obligatory for her to process the cars in order of arrival), basically told me to **** off and made talk to the hand signals. This made me really angry, by now I was ready to leave this hotel and go somewhere else. Then, an hour later we received a phone call from the hotel owner, she wanted to talk with us after she learned what happened. She came up to our room together with the receptionist. While normally you would expect and adult conversation, here I got treated like a little child, even with her finger pointing at me about what I supposedly had said to her employee. I asked her whether there was camera footage of the reception to prove my right about what had happened earlier, there was not. After she was finished talking she did not want to hear my side of the story, she trusted her receptionist and that was that. I was perplexed, I have never been treated so badly in my adult life anywhere that I was a customer. The owner did not even show me the curtesy to talk to me at the reception when I went down to settle things before leaving. She kept being making different phone calls, stare at her computer screen etc, I had to ask her to look at me when we were talking! Hotel moderno, pulito e con comodo parcheggio. Le foto non rendono giustizia alla struttura! Colazione ottima e abbondante. Con una passeggiata di circa mezz'ora sì arriva in centro, godendosi tutto il lungo lago. Personale gentilissimo e molto disponibile. Sicuramente ci torneremo.

Tolle Lage mit Seeblick. Sehr schönes, kleineres topgepflegtes Hotel. Großer Außenbereich mit viel Platz.

Wie immer toller Urlaub in Malcesine

Hotel molto bello...ottima la pulizia e la colazione.piscina nn grandissima ma bella e sempre pulita. Tutto il personale è sorridente e gentile...tornerò sicuramente!
