Headed to Machias to tour the UMaine campus. I was reluctant at first because there were not many hotel options so we went with the Bluebird Motel. We were pleasantly surprised when we got there. Extremely clean and friendly service at check-in. Beds were comfortable. There are some amenities offered in the main office. Convenience A+… you can pull your car right up to your room and the UMaine campus is couple minute drive down the street. It is located a short distance from a McDonald’s, Walgreens, grocery store.

I really enjoy that you can park right outside your room, that sense of security is always very nice. Its easy parking and extremely easy to navigate where to go.

The employees there are wonderful from the desk clerks to the nice ladies who clean up the rooms each day. Everyone was kind and helpful and a pleasure to meet.

Very clean and enough outlets to plug in my hearing aids and cell phone. Also enough chairs and lights. Very accommodating. Would like to have a discount for AARP but going through Travelocity it it's not possible
