Lillehammer Fjellstue og Hytteutleie

Our group of six enjoyed a great week at this accommodation. We stayed in one of the apartments. It was well appointed, clean and beautiful views of the valley and a short walk to the main lodge. Not a fancy place, but quite comfortable. The ensuite sauna wasn’t great (we couldn’t figure out the controls), but we used the sauna in the main lodge, which was a good alternative. We booked the meal plan, and that was excellent! Plenty of food and the service and accommodation of dietary restrictions was excellent. Kudos to Jan and his team as we enjoyed the delicious food several time.

We spent 5 days on a half board basis in an apartment. Food was great, tasty and plentiful. Apartment had large living area with a kichenette and sauna, good view over the lake. Three things we wish we had known. 1. We came from UK via public transport, a bus from train station gets you to the door. Unfortunately we never realised that the apartment was nearly 500m away from the main lodge, taking our bags downhill in the snow was tricky. For breakfast and evening meal we needed to layer up ( it was minus 12 daytime, minus 17 in the evening). Never really relaxed because of this and the issue below. 2. Heating. You pay extra to heat/ power the large apartment, no allowance, no complimentary wood for the log burner (160 kroner for bag of wood). We daren't use the sauna and after a very costly first night, had to lock down the bedroom to preserve the heat. We kept our layers on in the living area. Crazy that ( according to instructions) we actually had to increase the temperature on the radiators on check out! 3.Incorrect info on eating time. We were informed by two staff on the first night that the evening meal was at 7.30pm . It was actually 6.30pm . There was not a lot left when we arrived at 7.30. So would recommend staying in the lodge itself to relax and stay warm.

It cost NOK145 to rent a set of bed sheets and bath towel. The clean services are not included, had to clean the apartement before leaving, otherwise it will be NOK800. There is a oven, but no microwave, it is not possible to heat the leftovers. The area is remote, it might be nice in winter, but it is just regular countryside other times. The remoteness is probably why the WIFI internet is super slow! Worst: the hot water was exhausted after 2 persons' shower, it doesn't recover in hours!

Perfect! This sums up this hotel in one word. Cosy, atmospheric, warm, comfortable, lovely room, great staff, great food in a great location with great ski trails. Also has a nice ski stall hut. I have to add some more characters otherwise trip advisor won't accept it - how stupid is that!

The room, location, and staff were wonderful! However, there is an issue with the information provided on *******. Under the "Property amenities" section, in "Food and drink," it incorrectly lists: - A coffee shop/café - A restaurant - Coffee and tea in common areas In reality, there is no café or restaurant on the premises. The nearest dining options are a 15-minute drive away. I kindly request that ******* updates this information to accurately reflect the amenities available at the property.

Fantastic value for price which includes accommodation and three meals (one of which self- pack sandwiches). Daily dinner buffet is delicious and varied and kudos to the chef and kitchen staff for preparing such a varied and nutritious selection of food! Cross country skiing paradise just outside the lodge - really nice, friendly people staying in the lodge also. Will return!
