Lunita Jungle Experience

I was fortunate to take part in a multi-day retreat at Lunita in early March 2024. The experience exceeded expectations on every level. Lunita is a beautiful, serene, magical property. The grounds are inspiring and relaxing--and private. My casita was immaculately clean, cozy, and comfortable. Meals were prepared with care and love by an on-site chef. Everything served was healthy and local. I am grateful to Marco and his team for doing everything in their power to make our experience at Lunita meaningful and pleasant. Perfecto!

The private Casitas are beautiful, all of the furnishings are handmade from already fallen trees. Each Casita feels very private including the small patio to enjoy your morning coffee. The grounds are magical, the pool is filled with water from the near by Cenote. One of the things you might not notice is the fence around the property is a living fence! This magical place is centrally located amongst the areas Cenotes and the cost accommodations are VERY reasonable, especially for what you get in return!

I hosted a women’s plant medicine & somatic healing retreat here and it was absolutely incredible. I’m honestly hesitant to share a review because I want to keep this place a secret for myself! But the truth is, the space is pure magic and beauty and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to have an intimate gathering/event in nature. From the peaceful jungle environment with monkeys and giant butterflies dancing around to the gorgeous decor of the rooms (and comfort of the beds) it’s all perfect. And the owners Giulia and Niko are so friendly, welcoming, generous and overall beautiful people. They put so much care into creating this place and it’s felt! I also have to note that the ceremony gathering space was also perfect for our needs - it was so nice doing our activities in the open air and at night being gathered around the fire under the stars and moonlight. I’m impressed at what they’ve created and will definitely be back to host more events here!

What a gift I received from Lunita Jungle Hotel. I booked a stay to be near los cenotes & liked the eco-friendly concept I saw on its web page. Being at Lunita is more than that concept. You can feel how wonderfully peaceful it is as you step through the entrance and are greeted by the manager. He explains in detail how Lunita was created to be as close to the earth as possible & I appreciated every measure they took in her creation. On top of the peace I gained, the wonderful meals & attention Chef Carlos gave to my gluten free requests were so good. The hotel is exactly as you see on their web page. I've added a pic to show how the Room Carnelian positioned herself to shine vibrantly in the setting sun and one of Chef Carlos & my delicious chilaquile breakfast. There is so much magic in this small space. Lunita enhanced my cenote visit & I only regret not staying longer.

What a wonderful hotel! Everything was perfect, the service was incredibly thoughtful and kind. Very good value for money spent. The food was delicious. We arrived after dark and someone met us at the entry, they made sure to leave us food in our room as we arrived past 10pm when the kitchen closes. All of the staff went above and beyond.

I stayed at Lunita for my bachelorette weekend and the experience was unforgettable and like nothing I’ve experienced before. I’m a city girl, so when my friends suggested a jungle hotel, I was a little concerned but I thought it had a good intimate vibe. The experience from the moment we arrived was unmatched. Lunita is intimate and also feels very in tune with the nature surrounding it, rather than the nature just being a backdrop. Everything about the experience seems to be in line with working with the environment rather than against. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and I loved the crystal/feminine themes of the exteriors. The pool was gorgeous and Giulia, Nico, and Olmos we’re so welcoming. I particularly enjoyed the experiences, which included a massage and a cleansing ritual with my girls. Lunita made us feel very special, welcome, and cared for the entire stay. The grounds are also very aesthetic so there were tons of picture perfect moments. I can’t wait to return!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Lunita! I went for my friend’s bachelorette and it was truly an 11/10 experience, in large part because of Lunita, the owners Giulia and Nico, and their staff Olmos. The hotel was beautifully designed and made me feel like I was one with nature. Giulia and Nico are photographers and took us to several locations for a photoshoot, even a cenote with a ziplone that was all ours for the day (we swam for a while after the photos). The masseuses were wonderful and it truly felt like a spiritual experience, not just a massage. Last, but certainly not least, the Tantra ceremony was the perfect end to our trip and a truly beautiful experience for us all. Highly recommend Lunita!

It's hard to give impartial review from this destination, because it's much more based on the feeling of the place. It sure is different than all inclusive resorts on the beach, is that good or bad is up to you. I was going to write more stuff here but it would have been just spoiler. Hotel is located by the ruta de los cenotes so there is alot of cenotes close by and some of them you are privileged with discount if customer of the hotel. In transportation questions staff is eager to help, or book a transport for you. Earlier you contact it's easier to arrange. It's approx. 20 min from Puerto Morelos by car. Things to consider: -Solarpanels are only power supply of the hotel, normally it doesn't make any difference because most of time sun is shining, but it can lead to short power breaks if weather is cloudy for longer periods. -Cooling is handled by fan at ceiling, which felt powerfull enough during our stay. Room can get little humid during nights, but when you are in jungle it's something that can be expected. For us it was a perfect stay, could have been longer this, but 2 nights was also good. Staff is super friendly and professional. If you are looking something little different I suggest you book this. Stay is marketed more as experience that just hotel and it hits the mark.

I was there with friends and family and were made to feel at home, at ease, at peace, connected, and respected. Our experience was customized to what we desired--it was a magical type of place, exactly what we needed.
