Stayed in a newly renovated room, it was really clean and nice. Only thing that was a bummer is they got rid of free coffee in room, which I think they should bring back.

We have stayed in the GoldCoast hotel a minimum of 10 times. We tried to book thru the hotel and was told that they were booked. Try a third party. So we did. I booked thru Trip.com. I will say that the room was neat and clean as usual. Their mattresses were great. We ask for a frig due to a medical reason. The frig stunk up the room. Bad odor when you opened the door. The view we had was to a block wall. It has been the worse view ever.I am one that likes to look out the window. We only ate at the TGIF restaurant, food was good. Staff at the hotel was very nice as usual. ***** were fun. Smoke odor is getting better over the years. The fire alarm went off early in the morning and scared both of us awake. We had only had about 5 hours of sleep, This did not make us happy. When we mentioned the alarm we were told "I don't know I wasn't here when it went off". Other then that we love the goldcoast.

Great location not that far from the ***** and across from the Rio… It is old and therefore the smell of stale and fresh smoke is pretty bad and the first woman to check me in was not the kindest but the housekeeping staff was great and the rooms were priced right!

Overall, we could find this as the most reasonable hotel during our stay on a weekend.
I would rate it as a 2 star due to the following reasons:
1. Smoke smell across the hotel including room.
2.Toiletries are still outdated
3. Outdated ****** as compared to the others
It’s a very old hotel with an average elder age category of people, so if you are in your 20-40s, don’t keep high hopes and to have fun, you need - 10 minute ride via Uber to the ***** to have all the fun.
There are some positives too-
1. Great Value
2. Nice restaurants within the hotel including Starbucks coffee at their local coffee Shop
3. ****** has minimum bet of 15$ on Blackjack which is the lowest anywhere
4. Staff was very responsive and helpful.
If you don’t have any issue with Smoke and just need a place to sleep, go for it.

The room is nice and clean. The only drawback is we’re facing back of the building it’s an ugly view.

Overall it was a good hotel. The slots could have been a lil more loose but I went bowling that was fun the bar closed super early tho so I had to pause my game go downstairs to the ****** bar to get my drink and go back upstairs so that was a lil annoying but besides that and having to tap your room key by elevator security it’s was a good stay and I would definitely book it again

There isn't much to say about this. The receptionists were very sour and unfriendly. They were not helpful about anything. Maybe they are overworked but I didn't enjoy asking them about anything. They were unfriendly and dismissive.
