We had a very brief day at the Moxy. Seemed like a fun place with lots of games in the lobby and a cleverly set up room that was quite comfortable. The staff sent us to a very good breakfast nearby at the Breakfast Club which we really enjoyed. Appreciated the suggestion!
Best hotel that we’ve been since traveling around! Great staff and super friendly. Love the breakfast being included as well! Very clean and amenities were provided upon request. One down side is the parking. Hawthorne parking was a good spot and it was easy access to the hotel through the skywalk however the price of it was ridiculous especially since it’s not an in and out. I would definitely stay here again but look more into a different parking lot to provide better access to moving your car around.
Very spacious and modern rooms, very cool design of public areas and rooms! Unfortunately, we had some difficulties communication with the hotel twice. First, we wanted to learn more about parking and hotel put us on 10 minutes hold and after that they did not pick up the call for more than an hour! Maybe they are busy, but still leaves an impression. Secondly, we called at the reception to ask about the places open for a beer or wine and they simply hang up on us twice. Moreover, there was something with the lock- we could not leave the room without asking for help outside. I’m glad we were not in the rush in the morning. Not sure why is that so haha! Generally great area in the city center and pretty design!
Booked a room to spend a night downtown for the holidays. Hotel is undergoing renovations. didn't have any construction activity or noise while there, but signs of it throughout the floors. our room was well sized, clean, with a comfortable bed. location is great for going to the theater, or target center.
entrance is weird. very nondescript and the doors are locked, even during the day at check-in. i've never once experienced that in any city anywhere else in the world. Plus the guy at the desk stepped away for at least 5 minutes so we had to wait in the car (Dec in MN is cold) until we could get buzzed in. i can understand locked after 10 (maybe 9) but at 3-4 pm is strange.
overall staff is very friendly.
no parking lot at hotel, but there's plenty of street parking if you're only staying a night. otherwise paid lots nearby.
you can skip breakfast, it's not worth waking up for. basically pre-packed food/drinks. not sure if that's normal or just because of the holidays.
ผผู้เข้าพักFirst off, I was charged an extra “historic building” fee when I checked in. When I questioned it, I was told it was because I didn’t use their website to book. The room was ok, no hairdryer. There was an almost constant loud him coming from the bathroom wall. Nice view of the river but awakened at 4 am by people yelling and fighting somewhere. Restaurant only serves breakfast on weekends and we were unable to find any open places for breakfast within walking distance. Wasn’t a terrible stay but I wouldn’t go back.
ผผู้เข้าพักI thought the bed was super comfortable. The decorations were entertaining. The service was good. They have a pass available for the UofM health club. I swam in two different pools. The coffee shop and the cozy lobby are wonderful.
DDr. PuppioThe hotel is close to the Target Center (10 minutes by foot - good option for a Timberwolves game).
The room is Spacious.., with a comfortable king bed and a good shower as well.
The breakfast is fair…, American standard..!
I’d stay again..!!
AAngela.AStylish stay in the heart of Minneapolis. Excellent location and beautiful rooms equipped with a Nespresso machine. Don’t miss the top-floor perks: the Prohibition bar on the 27th floor and the stunning observation deck on the 30th. The brunch at Manny’s Steakhouse is also a must. Highly recommended!
