I work on the road and have for over 27 years , and I have watched not only the industry I work in, but others change. Every once in awhile you stumble upon a great place, with great people. And that’s where I will let others know! If your ever in college station, TX and need a place to stay, I highly recommend you stay here, it starts with the young lady Poonam, at front desk! She went out of her way to make us feel at home,then she faces us a terrific rate to boot! The establishment is clean , comfortable. Cozy, and Quiet! I’m so glad I found this place, and in the future if my occupation lands me here again, I know where I will be staying!! Thank you Poonam for the way you treat people and the way you run this establishment!! It’s appreciated.
We were in College Station for a show and reserved the Microtel for our stay! It was a great experience and from the time we entered the hotel, my daughter was so excited about staying here. The staff was very nice and even helped me in locating my brand new Oakley shades that I misplaced upon check in. The hotel was very clean and quiet. I was able to rest each evening without worries of being woken up with loud neighbors. Thank you for such a nice experience. We will be back!
One of my favorite Residence Inns ever! Crazy convenient for us going to watch a graduation. Not too expensive. The checkin desk help was just superb and personable. And most importantly I love the layout of the room. I could spend some serious time in it. Clean, large, comfy and has ALL the amenities for a longish stay. This hit the mark for me.
Room had great size, bed was comfortable. In the room the TV didn’t work, and the phone either. The sofa bed is minuscule, you have to sleep in diagonal. Coffee maker in the room is flimsy and makes watery coffee. The breakfast tables and floor are sticky. Shower didn’t work properly, half of the water sprays through the tub spigot. The hotel needs updating. A/C does not work properly, air was damp in the room, window units are old and loud. Cleanliness could be highly improved, especially in hallways.

She took the time to physically inspect the room before selling me the reservation. I cannot thank Yradne enough for her willingness to hear my problem, evaluate options that would meet my needs, and find a solution that exceeded my request. We were needing a place to stay with our elderly Labrador and was VERY pleased with our stay at this hotel!! Registration was smooth, everyone was friendly and compassionate. The room was the perfect temperature, and the beds were comfortable.
I NEVER take the time to submit a BAD review but !!This place is ABSOLUTELY horrible!! DO NOT BOOK A STAY HERE….1st off we were forced to book due to unavailability anywhere else due to a high profile A&M football game event and honestly didn’t have the best expectation based on reviews but thought, “you never know, they may have improved” NOPE!!! Not at all!!!! Our reservation stated 11am check in and our room wasn’t ready until 2pm and the manager, Guru was super rude about it. Our bed sheets and comforter had literal cigarette burns despite it being a non-smoking room, it was almost impossible to get the shower head to work, the refrigerator had mold in it, the carpet was filthy, needless to say… we didn’t stay the night. We paid over $300 for one night, got a quick shower and ended up driving home to Houston. My recommendation, pay the extra and stay ANYWHERE else. We will NEVER book here EVER again!!
