The room still had a strong ”new room” smell which gave me quite a headache. Since I've been staying in hotels, this is the first place where I've had such a bad experience. After already going through a difficult situation outside, I came back to the hotel only to find that all of my belongings had been removed from the room and packed together. Some items were missing, and others were placed in different areas, so I had to go down and look for them again. I booked 2 nights, but the receptionist said they could only see 1 night in the system after they had already cleared my belongings out of the room. During check-in on the first night, I tried to show the booking confirmation stating 2 nights, but the staff member at that time seemed confused. When I insisted that it was 2 nights, they didn't ask to check the booking again until I showed the exact dates myself. I'm not sure whether this was an error from Trip.com or the hotel's system, but at that moment, I was already feeling very upset, and this situation made me break down in tears. Another guest kindly gave me tissues, and I truly appreciate that gesture. Luckily, I'm not the one who likes to argue, but I feel it's important to leave this review for improvement. I would suggest better staff training regarding the check-in process. Please make sure to always check the guest’s booking confirmation and reconfirm the length of stay during check-in to prevent this kind of mistake from happening again. For this reason, I’m deducting 1 star for the shock and distress this caused.
