We loved our stay. The location is great. Walking distance to lots of restaurants, markets and the esplanade. The rooms are spacious with nespresso style coffee machines and various teas complimentary in the room. The TV had lots of free on demand movies too. The breakfast was not included in our stay but we dined once and it was great value for what was on offer. I would recommend it and stay again.
Very gd location. Convenient walk to food and pier. Love the cosy breakfast on the verandah! A hotel of character! The only downside would be that some facilities inside the room are a bit old. Shower in our room is dripping. Noise at night could be loud!
• room: clean bedsheets and pillows, clean AC filters and overall a compact functioning double room. Even though the room was nearby the stairs I did not hear noise from people passing by and had a good sleep
• shared bathroom was cleaned meticulously.
• amenities: they have a pool which is really nice and the inner courtyard is quite comfortable and has space to interact with other guests as well to just chill
• location: 15 min taxi from the airport (only way to go to the airport) 10 min walk from the train station and 15 min walk to the seaside. There are few restaurants and a supermarket in front of the hostel
• staff: kind an supportive
my background: I travel 320 days a year since 8 years staying in all range of accomodation from hostel to 5star. I just review objectively what I see with no judgement
Had a wonderful stay at Pacific Hotel Cairns. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the city with easy access to the Esplanade, night markets, and fun attractions like the Ferris wheel. Everything is within walking distance, which made exploring Cairns so easy and enjoyable.
The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Evenings around the area are lively, with great food options nearby street food vibes, and a beautiful atmosphere.
Overall, a great place to stay if you want comfort, convenience, and to truly enjoy the Cairns experience. Would definitely stay here again!
Reasonable price for a wonderful service
Highly recommend everyone to stay in Heritage Cairns. The staff was responsive to our night arrival and everything was pretty smooth. The rooms were clean and the WiFi connection is stable too.
The staff kindly arranged a suitable room for my mum who was not good at walking. Moreover, the staff let us use the shower room with towel and amenities even we had already checked out that day. Many thanks for their hospitality!
ผผู้เข้าพักThe location is ideal. Near to everything you need to visit in Cairns, Great Barrier Reef wharf, water park, restaurants, museums. When you have to get up early to meet your tour schedule, location is the key. Very friendly staff. Room is clean with amazing water view. Breakfast buffet offers a wide range of choices. Although in view of the age of the hotel, it has little tears and wears, 4 stars service and comforts are something we are looking for, instead of some fancy golden decoration in the hallway. We definitely will come back when we visit Carins.
TTashTashPerfect place for a family stay!
Complete with washing machine and tumble dryer. Products are also provided.
Restaurants literally downstairs, walking distance to the scenic railway, cairns central shopping centre, the esplanade etc.
we liked our stay so much we wanted to stay longer but unfortunately it was fully booked.
We left there and went to stay on reef encounter live aboard. Which you board from literally outside.
Keys were easy to drop off and pick up too!
Would definitely recommend staying here
EElfiiEverything was wonderful. Comfortable beds, large, comfortable bathrooms, 24-hour reception, and a well-equipped kitchen. There's a popular nightclub nearby, but the noise from it didn't reach my room.
JJ_WY8Really nice apartment with lots of amenities on site which made travelling easier. The room itself was clean and spacious with good appliances. Location was also brilliant right near the central mall and bus station and also not to far a walk or drive from the seafront and main bars and restaurants.
Only thing that I can think of that let it down abit is that you are right under a flight path which can wake you up in the morning when the planes are coming in to land.
Otherwise I would definitely recommend for the price.
Ssolo travellerEverything about this hotel is exceptional. The only downside was the room that I was given was on the top floor and the noise from either some sort of pump or the outside unit of the air condition was so overwhelming that I couldn't sleep well all night.
ผผู้เข้าพักThis hostel has a lovely atmosphere, much more chill than other hostels I’ve been in with a quirky indoor/ outdoor vibe. It’s clean with lovely staff and a great location. The beds are the most comfortable I’ve had while travelling Australia with your own personal fan. I will say that it may be a little outdated but it’s undergoing renovation. Kitchen was always clean. A little different but I enjoyed my stay here :)
ผผู้เข้าพักThe Mantra Hotel has outstanding location. It is directly in front of the Woolworths supermarket - the best option in central Cairns. It's also virtually opposite (the esplanade side)the lagoon public beachfront swimming pool. Finally it's just a 5 minute walk from Cairns Cruise Terminal, with outstanding day trips to Green Island, Fitzroy Island and the Reef. I booked a sea view room. When you enter the room, you don't see the ocean, but a building across the road. However, the view from the balcony was amazing. The balcony overlooks the main features of lagoon on the sea front. During the day it is great view - the lagoon pools and sea in the background. At night you cannot see the sea (as to be expected) but you have the amazing lagoon lights, which makes it very desirable and even romantic. Our room was at the end of block, which overlooks a shopping mall (no car noise) - looking right from the balcony is the lagoon view and looking left is a mountain view. However, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm the sun comes directly into the balcony area, which means it unusable until sun sets. Of course if you don't mind baking in the sun on the balcony, this is not really a concern. The room itself is pretty basic. The mini fridge of OK and TV has domestic channels only - no cable TV for BBC/CNN. The bathroom is of a good size. There is combined shower & bath. However, when using the shower, it can slightly flood this bathroom. A shower curtain may be desirable because the glass panel is not sufficient enough. At $225 per night this hotel was not cheap and you can better deals by coming in the off-season OR going bit further down the esplanade, and choosing another hotel. The Mantra does have its own pool and it is wonderfully heated, with normal deck chairs you would expect at 4 star hotel. However, the pool gets very little natural sunlight, because it of its location between 2 buildings. Overall, the hotel has amazing location, and it is still recommended, despite the shortcomings mentioned. My final note: When we checked in, I was impressed with the level of service provided by the receptionist. She had a very welcome attitude and a wonderful personality.
