Smy Kos Beach & Splash

What a beautiful setting! We were at the sea end of the complex in B Block, with a lovely clean room and fabulous air con! We needed it, such lovely weather. The cleaning lady made up the room everyday with fresh bottles of water and clean towels, I think her name was Maria. The selection of foods in the main restaurant was amazing! Well supervised by the Manager Isaac, who kept his eye on everything but still managed to remember faces, friends and give them all a courteous greeting. He remembered favourite drinks at the bar and despite working long hours, always had a smile and greeting. I must also mention the reception staff, nothing was too much trouble, from arranging for extra pillows to organising taxis. Dimitri was a wonderful porter who carried our heavy bags up 3 flights of stairs as if they were empty! All in all it was a wonderful place and we have only been back a day but miss it already.

We arrived and was firstly very impressed . Clean in all areas and great for the Kids . They loved the splash park . Entertainment was hit and miss . Beach was really nice and lots of Sunbeds . Food was plentiful and eating areas always clean and tidy . Staff worked so hard . The biggest Downfall was B Block where they put the Families . Although our Junior Suite itself was nice and clean , O MY WORD !!! We were right by the Sewerage works and the smell was Horrendous as we walked to our Room . Our only saving grace was we were on the 1st and our Balcony faced away from the Sewerage works , so once in the room , there was No Smell . I felt so sorry for the people on the Ground Floor , as they could not get away from the Smell , I certainly would have made a fuss about that and demanded to be moved . Something needs to be sorted about this , as we were here in May and I hate to think of the Smell in July and august

Good parts first - Entertainment team and staff were all so so nice and helpful. We hired a car and got a lot of really good advice from both lady’s in the reception area. The cleanliness was to a very very high standard, and rooms were nice- good aircon. Bad- The alcohol seemed to be watered down based of the multiple tequila sunrises we consumed which they filled the glass half full of tequila yet you couldn’t taste it. cocktails i also wouldn’t call cocktails and was disappointed to pay extra for a pina collada that wasn’t good at all Food had good potential but most of the pork and chicken was 80% fat or bone (no over exaggeration) One last small thing is every single table we sat on was wobbly , not a big problem but is just a bit annoying We wouldn’t go back there as the main pool area needs an update but mainly due to the alcohol, i would recommend for family’s with kids.

What can I say absolutely fantastic just about covers it. Wonderful food staff very friendly rooms cleaned every day new towels given and a litre bottle of water left every day. Kids loved the pools and our studio was lovely comfortable mattresses . Sad to leave x

We came for a weeks relaxing holiday in early May 2024 we booked a standard room which had everything we needed. The staff on arrival were brilliant we arrived at 1am and they had us a packed lunch in our room. The staff all round were amazing, always wanting to help you. The food was amazing always fresh and the chefs and food and beverage staff could not of done a better job. The pool bar which is right next to the beach is amazing fresh food every lunch time e.g. gyros, fresh pizzas, Greek salads etc. The beach is lovely and is private which is great lots of sun loungers available. If you’re looking to explore I would suggest hiring a car there is a desk near the reception. This only cost €48 for the day all insurance in that price too. We explored the whole of Kos in one day 09:00-21:00. We visited the Thermal Springs, Kos Town, Kelflos (paradise beach) and then watched the sunset in Zia which is amazing. Parking was free everywhere we went.

My teenage daughter and I came here for a week at the start of May. We absolutely loved the hotel. We stayed in one of the bungalows, which was spotless and had the most amazing shower! Cleaning staff were really friendly too. The two pools and fact it is on the beach, mean there's enough variety to keep everyone entertained. There's a water sports place very close by, although we didn't try it. And Tam Tam bar is just along the beach, has a lovely shop attached and little swing park. We also did the Hamam spa which was wonderful. The best thing about this hotel is the friendly staff - Koni at guest services is incredibly helpful. Everyone made us feel relaxed and seemed happy at their work. This makes such a difference and a welcoming a**osphere. The entertainment for us was good - I loved the aqua gym every morning with the ever energetic Marvin. The food was delicious and I felt varied enough for us. Only thing I'd add would be a swing park for younger kids. Planning to return!! Thank you for a fabulous holiday.

A lovely peaceful holiday. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. A good variety of buffet choices. Elani at the poolside bar was fantastic everyday. We had the bungalow which was close to the restaurant and the beach. We would happily go back. Shout out to George and koni in reception…… amazing service, thank you so much ☺️

We had a wonderful time staying at the Smy Kos. We booked via Jet2 and got a super cheap deal with a free kids place. The rooms are spacious, modern and very clean. The pool next to the sea is beautiful and perfect for a relaxing holiday. We took our four year old daughter and the kids entertainment is brilliant. There's a small kids club which safe and the staff are friendly. There's one entertainer, Marvin who is absolutely fantastic and really fun when he runs the kids disco. All the staff are super friendly and attentive. The Australian lady who works near reception is lovely and gave us some great pointers for day trips. If you can, it's worth renting a car as there's not much to do outside of the hotel and taxis are 29euros each way to get into Kos town. I believe there is a bus that runs there through the week but not weekends. Also the manager on reception was really lovely and allowed us to keep a room longer so my daughter could have a sleep before our late flight. Keep up the good work as all the staff are really good and you can see they work hard. I've given it a four star based on the food. It's a bit same same and I would have liked to see a bit more variety. What would make this hotel perfect would be to have an a la carte Greek restaurant on site that you can book into once or twice during your stay so you aren't always eating in the buffet. We tended to eat lunch at the pool bar down by the beach most days as you can sit on a nice beach bench overlooking the sea. Thank you for a lovely holiday. We wish we'd have booked a week!

The animation team were brilliant as well as the hotel staff. Both made us feel welcome and wasn’t bothered when our 2 year old was hanging around them especially with the evening entertainment (being Mr DJ!!). Wish we could give more than 5 stars. Thank you all!
