Very old hotel and not very well maintained. It should be rated just only 2 stars at maximum.

Stayed 2 nights at HHI Kolkata. 4 star rating? Really?!! The hotel is in a run down condition. Only poor cover ups happening around the place. Filthy as well. Mould in bathrooms, power points cracked and unable to recharge our phone. False ceiling and wall plaster peeling off. Temperature control in room impossible. Either freeze or switch off aircon and potentially feel hot. Had our travel agent change our assigned rooms to an "upgraded" one but that made no difference. One of the rooms we got ( we had 2 rooms booked) , did not have a firm enough mattress leading to body aches in the morning. The hotel needs to close down for a while for a proper renovation and until that happens.. we cannot see how it can boast 4 star rating. Hotel staff in general though were helpful and welcoming.

I am really enjoying my stay. All the staff are really friendly and helpful. Babai that cleans my room is absolutely amazing and is doing such a great job. Babai is friendly, helpful and always quick to help and make my stay better anyway he can and for that i am so grateful.

I have really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, Babai who has cleaned our room has to be one of the most hard working people we have met, always making sure we have everything we need at all times and making sure we have a comfortable stay, he is kind and always respectful as well as verying willing to help us, we have really loved our stay in this hotel and can't wait to come back.

Have a wonderful experience staying in this property, and cleaning ambience and specifically the housekeeping staff Mr prabir and prasanjit was very helpful and polite during the stay. Good food and location was near the market place...

The staff are always willing to assist with any requests. Kushal and Prabhjit are friendly and very good at keeping our room in top shape. They never move our personal belongings but still ***age to clean the room properly. We are always greeted with a smile and the job is done swiftly and thoroughly.

Very nice service ,my room is always clean and they are always on time with my laundry. The employees are very welcoming always greeting everyone . Mr Prabir and Mr Shubrato was excellent and helpful always on everything that was needed . And the food also was very good.
