47th on Howard

Welcoming Receptionist with a smile, ladies in the kitchen serve us with a smile & nice breakfast. Very neat rooms. Howard lodge its a home far away from home. I can recomment the place to anyone. Love the lodge

Comfortable stay with chrissie and her staff looking after us. Nothing too much trouble. Clean pool. Large room with balcony to sit on. Plenty of parking. Air con in room. Comfortable beds and great breakfasts

We had a wonderful 5 day stay at 47th on Howard in December. It was a lovely venue with top class facilities, close to the golf course, Leisure Isle and Knysna Heads. The rooms are huge with comfortable beds and crisp white linen and towels. A cooked breakfast with bacon and eggs was served every day (even omelette's). The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Chrissy was the most welcoming host too. We would recommend this lodge to everybody and will definitely return again one day. Luckily there was no load-shedding while we were there, which would have caused some concern as we were warned about leaving windows open in case baboons entered our rooms and therefore, we had to close our windows at night and leave the air-con on all night. Had there been load-shedding it would have been quite stuffy in the rooms with closed windows and no air-con available. If there had been burglar bars on the windows, the windows could be left open and save the lodge a lot in electricity expense. Another small suggestion would be to offer cereal and fruit on alternate mornings, as nice as it was to have bacon and eggs every day. Thank you Chrissy and staff for a memorable stay. Thank you to Chrissie and her friendly team who made us feel welcome from the get-go and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and the breakfasts very tasty and filling. We will most definitely stay at 47th on Howard for all future trips to Knysna and the Garden Route.

It was a very good place to stay, near by the town.Very friendly host,Chrissie. Big room,nice pool.Friendly staff. Quit place. Nice vieuw.Lots of things to do,whale watching, the Heads.the Lagoon Shopping,Knysna is a beautiful town to stay

Our second time here and it was just as good. Chrissie is a wonderful host and gave us a beautiful room overlooking the wetlands. Its a superb location for exploring Knysna and the surrounding area but outside the town centre so its lovely and quiet. The reason for the missing star is just to say they are renovating at the moment and some ammenities are not available.

The hotel is located on a hillside in Knysna with lots of forests around. Our bedroom was very spacious and the bed was super comfortable. We slept very well. The furnishing in the hotel corresponds with the pics on your site. Breakfast was great and Chrissi the host was very friendly and helpful. It is a great location and very recommendable. We will be back.

I was really looking forward to the pool,but the weather was jealous.The manager and the stuff was so helpful ,location was peaceful.We loved every moment of our stay,we are definitely coming back.Our room was so specius we had also a balcony ,we loved it there.
