"We stayed at the lofts for 3 nights using it as a base for our garden route trip in South Africa. The hotel is located in a beautiful setting on thessen island overlooking the lagoon. There are a nos of good restaurants on thessen island but also the Knysna waterfront is only a short walk away. Plettenberg bay is less than 1 hour away and storms river 1.5 hours away. We stayed in lagoon view rooms which were very spacious, luxuriously furnished and with stunning views of the lagoon. What we really loved about the hotel was the service. All the staff were so friendly and warm. There was a mix up with our booking on arrival but they dealt with it so professionally and more than made up for it. The restaurant the Nest has really good food and the ile de pain which adjoins the hotel has lovely breakfasts. One of the really nice touches is the notice board with names / pictures of the staff where you can leave post it notes with messages for them. One example of lots of small details which make this hotel so special. Overall highly recommend this hotel for a luxurious stay in the garden route"

The staff were really friendly during our stay and any requests have never been too much trouble. Food in the restaurant is fab at both dinner and breakfast. Can’t really think of anything bad to say… and I can be fussy at times! We will definitely be coming back here again on our next trip - thanks so much!!"
