Wonderful hotel and staff, very comfortable stay and lovely location right by Devon house. Room was roomy and quiet. Secure parking. And most importantly, an excellent selection of Hampden Rums at the bar!

Some how I felt like I was given a room that wasn’t the best room however I could be wrong . I enjoyed me stay though and the staff is very helpful and friendly so I appreciated that .

The rooms are spacious with plenty of lighting, modern bathroom, sofa, desk. Good racks in closet.
The breakfast is superb with eggs to order, and servers to dish your food choices.
The facility is an airy traditional style residence that hosts weddings, business and government officials.
Great value.

On a trip home to Jamaica the buffet breakfast hits all the spots. No running around trying to find different dishes at different restaurants. Theyre all on the breakfast menu.

The property is dated. The bathroom needed to be remodeled and at the very least have the tiles in the shower grouted. The pool area needed to be updated. In room carpets also need to be replaced. Cut away palm trees that block the view and the sunlight from streaming into the rooms. Dinner was great but the hotel seems to hosts events on their grounds that could mean a late night disturbance when you want to go to bed early. Most of the staff I interacted with were pleasant and helpful. I would come back to dine or attend an event but not to stay.

Old school charm with a colonial feel, which is a nice change from the stark cookie cutter corporate chains a la Marriot, or the overly artsy hotels that never deliver on the service.
Best place to stay in kingston, in my opinion with comfy and quiet rooms and good amenities. Also two of the best restaurants are located here - a fine dining and a smart casual.

I gave 5 stars for all categories except one; Staff and Services. I gave it 2 stars because the front desk personnel was not particularly kind. Her attitude felt hostile.
All the other staff members were great. The waitress and waiters were kind and welcoming. The food was great. The room amazing. The place met all my expectations and more. But I guess it can't all be perfect.
I'm Jamaican born, and a US citizen. I moved back to Jamaica for over 3yrs now. I took my wife to the Terra Nova Hotel to celebrate our Anniversary. I never expected to feel less than anyone else we visit here.
It started out with pleasant Hello from us and that we would like to check in. She asked if we had a reservation, we did. We gave our names, IDs, payment info. All that interaction felt we were at the wrong place.
I gave my AMEX card, my US ID and that's when her energy changed. It sucks that this is how things are. I didn't expect it so close to home. And believe me when I say that I've experienced this on many occasions.
Anyway, don't let this one bad apple stop you. You'll have a great time here. I would still stay here again. If it's the same receptionist, I just have to understand that this is how things are.

We stayed over the Chris**as holidays. The room was very clean and the staff were very friendly. Shout out to a server named Devon who made sure we were comfortable during dining. Just a heads up, if there are events, the music is blaring loudly as we could hear it from our room, sometimes past midnight. If you need to buy stuff or dine out, there are options within walking distance such as Fontana Square, which was a very convenient spot to pick up small gifts or souvenirs.
