"On March 19th 2026 at noon, I called the hotel and spoke with a lady who seemed to be the manager.
I told her that I couldn’t drive to Banff from Kamloops because of the road closure on Trans-Canada Highway 1 and Highway 93 due to the bad weather—heavy snow, a force majeure situation, Mother Nature herself!
That lady didn’t want to cancel my reservation and give me a full refund. I asked her which road I should take, but she couldn’t answer.
I had to take alternate roads to Jasper, Hinton, Evansvurg, Drayton Valley, Rocky Mountain House, Sundre, Cochrane, and finally arrived at the hotel around 2 a.m.
That lady really should have not been working at the hotel."
