We have previously stayed here on our trip in 2016.. and our experience in 2016 was so very different from this year (2022). We stayed for 10 days this time. Here are the main points from our stay: - Staff was very rude, not helpful at all or welcoming. They were only helpful when money was waved in front of them. They even charged an extra 22 euro for helping with booking a taxi.. a service hotels normally offer for free. - Near the end of our stay, our neighbouring room experienced money disappearing from their room. Some neighbour rooms’ cards worked on every room. We did not feel safe and began hiding our stuff, putting airtags on everything. When we presented this to one of the hotel staff and told that we didn’t feel safe any longer, he raised his voice, denied it ever happening in this hotel and rudely questioning why people leave their money out in their hotel rooms. - The breakfast is not good at all compared to when we visited in 2016. We chose to eat breakfast elsewhere - The beds were hard as rocks.. so much that we had to check if it even was a matress or just a wooden plank.. No duvet was provided, only a very thin cover - No iron on the hotel on request. They only got things ironed for money. - The lights in the room kept flickering or went out.. we asked to get the lights fixed, but they never did so - The hotel is overall very outdated. My ipad screen is almost bigger than the “tv”. The aircon only had one setting, even if we tried to make it less cold.. it made the room freezing. A lot of the furniture in the rooms are stained etc. The positive things about the hotel: - Very good location. Everything is so close by and by walking distance. - They have a terrace roof top with a good view of the mosques (although it’s reserved for dinner eating customers and they close by midnight). The staff working on the rooftop are kind.
