World Heritage Hotel Istanbul

It was the best experience as service, people care and sharing valuable information! Great location- 2 minutes walking distance from Hagia Sophia, and Blue Mosque, 5 minutes from TopKapi Palace. Very good transport service from and to airport! I recommend it!!!

We loved this boutique hotel! Clean, fresh and wonderful service. The location was outstanding. Right across from the Blue Mosque and walkable to everything in old town. We loved everything about this hotel!

The big draw of this hotel is its location. It’s right in the middle of Sultanahmet, close to Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar and literally 15 meters from the tram stop that connects you to other parts of Istanbul. In term of the rooms, they’re fairly basic. Simple, clean beds and bedding, a good shower and toilet, and decent Wi-Fi. However the primary reason for my 5 stars is the exemplary level of service I received from Musa and his staff. I’m fortunate to have traveled widely and Musa’s service was some of the best I have received anywhere in the world. From cold water to hot drinks, a more spacious room, to local knowledge and tips, Musa went above and beyond in his excellent level of service. Even after I had left the hotel, he sent someone with me to help procure a tram ticket and then made sure that the hotel contacted me when I left an item behind in my room. A truly exceptional customer experience!

Excellent hotel in the heart of Sultanahmet, the historical district of Istanbul. Very friendly staff, clean and pleasant. The hotel itself is a beautiful Ottoman era building. Easy walking distance to the Aya Sophia, Topkapi Museum, historical hammams (bath houses), Grand Bazaar, multiple other important historical sites, restaurant district. etc. The staff are very helpful. I travel to Istanbul frequently for business and stay here because I love the location, but this is a good hotel if you are coming for the first time because you can base here at the hotel and not worry about anything - just walk out the front door and explore Istanbul.

The hotel, the location, and all the staff were super helpful and friendly. The manager Yunus looked after us during our whole stay, providing great recommendations on where to go and how to make the most of our short trip, even arranging the bookings for us. The staff was absolutely great with exceptional customer service!!! Kudos to them. Great location, delicious breakfast.

From the moment we arrived Yunus, Fateh and all the staff were very friendly, welcoming and extremely attentive. We stayed for 5 days here and it was the most amazing experience. There was 24 of us and found the location of the hotel perfect. We had one elderly couple and a disabled child, the hotel had brilliant amenities. The breakfast was absolutely divine as it was a huge spread of everything which meant there was something for everyone to enjoy. It was very close to all the well known landmarks. The hotel was clean throughout. We will definitely book again. We cannot thank the staff enough for making our trip such a delight

Highly recommended .. clean and well managed .. facilitated with Air-conditioning , hot water , free WiFi and the location is superb. Staff are so friendly and cooperative. Mr. Yunus was particularly very supportive.

Because it was our first time in Istanbul, we could not have asked for a better location however the hotel itself was absolutely HORRIBLE, and that is an understatement. We were placed in a room underground where there was not a single window to let in fresh air or see the sunlight. It made it incredibly difficult to wake up in the morning because it always felt like night time down there in the den. We were told their family rooms were all underground however it said NOTHING about that online because if it had, I can assure you I would have NEVER booked with them. There were two queen beds, one twin bed, and a couch leaving the room extremely crowded. We are a family of five, and there was only one small and narrow closet to hang up some of our belongings. My three children had to keep their things in the suitcases for the full two weeks we were there. The bathroom was a literal box, there was not even room to leave our toiletries in there on the counter or anywhere else. They always kept three bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. We are FIVE PEOPLE in the room so obviously that is not enough. I asked the conceded night concierge NUMEROUS times if he could give me an extra bottle or two and I was ignored EACH TIME. The young lady and the concierge who didn't speak a lot of English were extremely friendly which made the stay slightly more tolerable. The rooftop was nice but I am sure there are far nicer ones in Istanbul. We will surely NEVER be setting foot back to this hotel again.

We stayed here in 2 rooms for 3 nights. Having booked in advance we got a very good rate. We had booked a double and a twin room; however, the twin wasn’t a true twin room as it had a double and a rather uncomfortable foldaway bed. We had booked a transfer from IST to take us to the hotel. It was a very nice people carrier with good air con and plenty of space or 4 of us and our bags. The cost was around the same as a taxi and well worth doing. The journey took around 45 minutes and was relatively quick until we got into central Istanbul where we crawled through the traffic clogged streets. The hotel is squeezed between a modern hotel on one side and a new building under construction on the other. The images on Google Street View are out of date so don’t rely on them. The location of the Work Heritage Hotel is superb. It is in the heart of the old town and a short walk from the main attractions. On arrival, we were greeted at the entrance by a porter who took bags into reception. Check-in was very efficient and friendly, and we were provided with a lot of helpful information. All the reception staff we spoke to throughout our stay were very friendly. The rooms are relatively small, but they were clean and reasonably comfortable. Our bed was probably nearing the end of its life and could do with being replaced. Breakfast was included in the rate and had a good selection of traditional Turkish items. The hotel lacks communal facilities, so bear this in mind if you are the type of person who likes to socialise in a hotel. As the rooms are quite basic and small you won’t really want to spend much time in them other than for sleeping and bathing. You can use the Roof Terrace of their sister hotel, World Heritage Center Hotel, that is less than 10 minutes’ walk. This has spectacular views across Istanbul but only service soft drinks. To summarise; this is not a luxurious hotel. It is a pleasant 3* hotel in a superb location that offers very good value for money. If you approach it with that mindset, then you won’t be disappointed.
