Choosing this hotel was the best decision of our Beihai trip! We specifically picked a place near Silver Beach, and we absolutely made the right call. Opened in 2025, everything here feels brand new and spotlessly clean. The rooms are tidy and comfortable, the AC works great, and the bedding is soft — we slept really well. A special shoutout to the rooftop laundry area — the washing machine is brand new, clothes come out clean and dry fast, which is incredibly convenient for long-term travelers. The staff is genuinely thoughtful: they helped carry our luggage, brought us water daily, and even accepted parcels on our behalf. But what truly touched us was the hotel manager Lü Yuan — even though we're foreigners, he patiently helped us with everything. When we accidentally left our wallet behind after checkout, he immediately notified us and proactively mailed it back to us. That level of care and integrity is rare. The location is perfect — just 1 km walk to Silver Beach, with easy access to dining and transport. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Beihai, especially international guests — you'll feel completely at ease here!

上島老闆娘安排來接我們的人已到，到了酒店老闆娘很熱情的接待，原本給我們的衞生間是蹲便馬桶，老闆娘知道我腿不好就又重新安排了有坐便的房間，房間衞生乾淨整潔，並且老闆娘還幫我們借電瓶車，租金比別人家便宜，耐心的告訴我們從那裡開始遊玩，到那裡吃飯，不過老闆娘酒店也有家常菜和飯，本來我們離島是不包送碼頭的，老闆娘又安排人把我們送到碼頭，真是熱心又周到，像這樣的酒店和老闆娘沒有五星好評自己心裏也過不去。

The hotel is 20 minutes away by walking from Shiluokou beach (great for corals, sandy beaches, supervised swimming areas, water motorsports, and low-tide foraging for crabs) and the entry point to Crocodile Mountain volcanic geopark. Nanwan street (restaurants, fresh seafood market, shops, and the starting point for scuba diving, boat fishing, etc.) is an hour away, so you might want to hail a ”taxi” there. Note that DiDi doesn't work on the island, but the hotel's owner helped us book taxis (including from and to the ferry terminal) when notified in advance. During daytime you will also see various taxis loitering around touristy areas. Our hotel room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. During the day air temperatures were reaching 35 °C and the humidity was high, which made us really appreciate the air conditioning in our room. There were cotton towels in the bathroom (which we prefer over disposable ones) and there is a balcony for drying clothes on (just ask the hotel owner for some clothes hangers). The hotel owner in general was very helpful, and she recommended us the best places to visit and activities to do. We actually extended our stay in this hotel to 4 nights, because we found this island so enjoyable.

Sheraton Beihai ตั้งอยู่ใน Guantouling ทําเลที่ตั้งค่อนข้างลําเอียง ทรายใน Guantouling หนามาก คลื่นก็เร่งรีบมาก ลงทะเลไม่ได้ เหยียบทรายด้วยเท้าเปล่าไม่ง่าย แต่สีน้ําทะเลดีกว่า Yintan สะอาดกว่า แต่ยังค่อนข้างเงียบ เหมาะสําหรับคนที่ไม่ชอบความมีชีวิตชีวา เหมาะสําหรับนอนในโรงแรม มองทะเลจากระเบียงสบายกว่า ลมทะเล ฟังเสียงทะเล มองทะเลดีกว่า วิวทะเลดีมาก วิวกว้าง แต่มีบ้านแดงอยู่ด้านหน้า ไม่ชอบ และไม่มีร้านอาหารรอบๆ ฉันสั่งบุฟเฟ่ต์อาหารเช้าของโรงแรม มีหลายประเภทและรสชาติก็ธรรมดา ไม่อร่อย อิ่มท้องได้ บรรยากาศโรงแรมดีมาก สุขาภิบาลก็สะอาดมาก และบริการก็กระตือรือร้นมาก เหมาะสําหรับคนขี้เกียจที่ชอบนอนในโรงแรมและชมทะเล

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at J Hotel, but the breakfast was very disappointing. My Chinese partner found the food bland with very limited variety, while as a foreign guest, I could barely find anything worth eating. The so-called Western options were particularly poor. The toast wasn't proper toast bread, the waffles were just small, soft pre-packaged cakes, the jam was excessively sweet, and there wasn't even butter available. There was no coffee either. When we asked, staff brought out an old plastic coffee maker with what appeared to be some kind of instant coffee. The orange juice tasted more like sugary artificial syrup than actual juice. It felt like the hotel tried to offer a Western breakfast without really understanding what that involves. I certainly don't expect a European breakfast when travelling in China, but even the Chinese options disappointed my partner. A shame, because everything else about our stay was genuinely good.

Quickly booked in. 1st room Chinese toilet, one with sitting toilet smelled like smoke, then 5007. Then kettle's plug's 1 point was broken off. Give other kettle. Still very nice ... Cheapest on my trip from Dongxing on Vietnam border along coast to Zhuhai, but most comfortable! Very long duvet for me as I am 1.83m tall. Plenty of nice hot water! Clean bedding. Spacious room with large place to make tea etc, to charge devices and put luggage on... Bathroom also has place next to basin to put your vanity case or bag.... (I travel with my own toiletries as I am allergic to many stuff). Everything is clean. There is a lift - convenient for 5aking luggage to room. Parking in backyard very convenient. Only draw back: Glasses didn't look clean. Carpet could be vacuum cleaned. One bed light didn't work. @
