Daily housekeeping kept everything spotless, and all the basic amenities were thoughtfully provided. One of the highlights was the coffee shop conveniently located right downstairs—ideal for a morning pick-me-up or a relaxing afternoon break. But what truly made the stay special was the owner. She speaks fluent English, so communication was smooth and easy. As someone who doesn’t plan much in advance, I found her local guidance absolutely invaluable. She mapped out routes and recommended hidden gems that made my trip unforgettable. She’s also a talented painter! The beautiful cards you’ll spot at the reception desk or in the bathroom are her own hand-drawn creations—such a lovely personal touch that adds character to the place. If you’re a cat enthusiast, prepare to be delighted—they have a whole feline family that adds a warm, homey vibe to the property. 🐱 A minor note: the room’s proximity to the main road means it can get a bit noisy in the evenings or early mornings. Personally, it didn’t bother me much—after a full day riding the scooter I rented from them for just 30 RMB, I slept like a baby. Also worth mentioning: this is the perfect spot for travelers who prefer peace and quiet over nightlife. It’s close enough to the action for convenience, but far enough to enjoy restful evenings. Overall, this spot is a fantastic blend of comfort, convenience, and character. Highly recommended for laid-back travelers, art lovers, and cat fans alike!

We loved our 3 night stay at this family-run hotel! It was comfortable and beautiful with a fantastic view and really friendly service. Free bicycles for us to use and lots of support and insight with planning activities with great communication. The breakfast was delicious and healthwe y and catered to our vegetarian needs and the washing machine was greatly needed and appreciated. We truly I our stay!

This hotel is perfectly located—offering quick access to the centre of Guilin while being tucked away in a peaceful area, far from the noise and crowds. The rooftop was a highlight for me, providing a stunning spot for photos and yoga sessions. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful; while most don’t speak English, they were patient and made communicating through online translators effortless. Cosy and clean rooms!

Very nice stay, would recommend for those looking for a rustic B&B experience. The room was comfortable and very clean, with a pleasant minimalist aesthetic, and the breakfast tasted home-cooked (the rice noodles were delicious!). To note: the trees outside the window mean the view of the mountains might be limited, especially depending on the floor. It's farther from the downtown area but it is convenient for the Big Banyan Tree and the Shili Gallery. We were there during low season so it was quiet but there are quite a few restaurants nearby so it may be loud during busier times. A standout was the excellent service - the staff was incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and kind, and provided us with many suggestions and guidance on getting around town. Being able to rent electric scooters directly from the hotel made it a great base for exploring what Yangshuo has to offer.

Siamo stati benissimo al Riverview Hotel, l’hotel è nuovo e molto curato, la lobby spaziosa, confortevole e accogliente. La nostra camera era perfetta con piccolo balcone vista fiume e tutto lo spazio per poter sistemare le valigie. Lenzuola e asciugamani pulitissimi, cambiati ogni giorno. E poi il personale e il servizio perfetti. Con lo staff super disponibile e pronti ad aiutarci per qualsiasi richiesta, in particolare Cindy, davvero premurosa e attenta a supportarci per le nostre richieste e bisogni. Sono venuti a prenderci al parcheggio dove ci aveva lasciato il taxi per aiutarci con i bagagli. Cindy ci ha aiutati a noleggiare gli e-scooter (che ci ha fatto consegnare direttamente in hotel), ci ha spiegato dove ritirare i biglietti per lo spettacolo Impression che avevamo acquistato online, ci ha dato tutte le indicazioni utili perché potessimo goderci al meglio la zona e visitare i punti più interessanti. Non abbiamo fatto la colazione né abbiamo provato il loro ristorante che però pare essere molto molto buono, in conoensso abbiamo preso molti caffè (espresso e caffè latte) ed erano perfetti. Unica nota da segnalare: le scale e i corridoi hanno la moquette (ma non le camere) e manca l’ascensore, tuttavia non è un problema con i bagagli perché hanno un montacarichi interno e li consegnano direttamente in camera senza alcuno sforzo per il cliente. Devo dire che la nostra esperienza è stata fantastica, in una struttura con il calore e l’accoglienza di un piccolo albergo ma un servizio concierge da 5 stelle lusso. Lo consiglio vivamente, soprattutto per viaggioatori occidentali abituati a un certo standard di comfort e pulizia.

Really conveniently located hotel (5 minute drive from the airport) with the most helpful owner. Stayed here for 1 night in preparation for an early flight from Guilin Airport the next morning. The owner gave me a free airport transfer himself. Room was very clean, air conditioning was fantastic, and I had a pleasant nights sleep. As I don’t speak Chinese and the hotel is in a remote location, I asked him for help with ordering me food on Taobao. Not only was he really helpful, he also offered to drive me to a restaurant that night himself, which was much appreciated! When I got to Guilin airport, they confiscated my power banks because they didn’t fit CCC specifications for domestic flights. However owner was still contactable after I left the hotel, and was happy to have them returned to him, and was in regular contact with me to get the delivered to my next hotel in Suzhou. Really appreciated this because these power banks were worth a lot! Would really recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a convenient, hassle free night before a next day flight.
