Good service! Close to shopping malls and restaurants.
No elevator so if you have heavy suitcases please ask for a room at ground floor

Absolutely LOVED my stay here! The pool area, and bar “Heyday” ended up being my fave spot in town. Whether I was plopped on a lounger in front of pool, or sitting on a swing at the bar chatting with Zack (awesome bartender) I was content here. The happy hour deals are amazing too. A bottle of wine for $25 from 12-6? HUGE deal! Thank you! I’ll stay here again😀

Hands-down the best customer service I've ever experienced at a US hotel. The staff is extremely attentive and quick to follow-up on any concerns. Special thanks to Jericho for being flexible and willing to accommodate last minute changes in my itinerary. Will definitely recommend this to friends and family going forward.

On site parking consisted of about 14 parking stalls that were all in use. Had to park about 1/2 mile away & pay $55. Also was unable to provide a key to my room as their system was down. I had to be let in personally by a staff member anytime I left the property. Also no internet or TV service available in my particular room…since I was only staying one night & didn t feel like having to continually ask staff for re-entrance into my room & couldn’t get the tv to work, I just went to bed.

The only good thing about this property was the bar staff and the pool vibe other than that, this hotel motel needs work. Expect to have some uninvited friends I mean roaches. This place is roach infested and all the money they charge they should be ashamed of themselves. Parking not enough space if you have an suv, spaces was very little for a compact car. Had to park at the meters not a lot of parking available. Everything is within walking distance and they service your room every other day. This is my last time staying here.

This was the third time we stayed at White Sands and have always enjoyed it. Our rooms with the lanai were always clean and we enjoy the mid century modern vibe of the property. Appreciate the good service and fun circular palapa Heydey Restaurant and Bar poolside .

Cute hotel in the centre of all the action of Waikiki.
Pros: lovely pool area. Walking distance to shops and many restaurants, cafes, markets, mall. Less than 10 min walk to the beach. Friendly and helpful front desk.
Cons: the hotel is right beside a bar where sketchy-looking people would drink/smoke and hang outside of… As a small woman, I got leered at by creepy looking men outside of that bar. I would make a point to walk on the other side of the street then quickly cross into the hotel, or even take another route and come in from the opposite end of the street to not pass that bar. Another con: extremely SOFT mattresses! I’m only saying this because my back needs a firm mattress and I’d thrown my back out en route to Hawaii and the soft mattress did me no favours! Also not crazy about the daily amenity fees. But all in all, a good, comfortable convenient stay. White Sands Hotel has personality.

Really enjoyed our stay . We really enjoyed our room with a view of the pool and our own lanai . Staff was very efficient and friendly . Fun to have a round bar outside with swings too ! Will be back soon .
