Wild Culture Yala

I Had an amazing visit to this wonderful 'gem' of a boutique hotel in Yala. It is an oasis in this part of the island! The food was amazing, the cocktails were so unique and the rooms were very comfortable, with great views of the landscape around the property. They have so much to do in the hotel itself that at least 2 nights would be the best way to experience this lovely hotel. Great for couples and families with kids also as they have great out door activities for kids . Highly recommended.

A gorgeous hotel in the country side overlooking rice paddies, 20 minutes away from the safari entrance. The staff were wonderful, the pool area much appreciated and the food was great. The rooms were lovely, with a great bathroom. They had archery and a shooting range too which was fun. I’d happily stay here again.

Wild culture is the perfect getaway for wildlife enthusiasts who also want a bit of luxury and serenity. Our family are repeat visitors to this property and we always have the best holidays here. The property is set in the most beautiful location overlooking paddy fields. The rooms are luxurious and spacious and some of the bigger rooms accommodate a family of four. The staff is excellent and the food is very good. The pool area is the perfect place to relax during the daytime and also to have a drink and/or dinner in the evening. They set up a great BBQ with a bonfire and fireworks for the children that they really enjoy. It’s a quick 20 minute drive to the park entrance and we never miss a park round and we still have time to come back and enjoy the villa. I would highly recommend it and will be coming again soon as this place is a family favorite!

What a fantastic place. The room we had was opulent and wonderful. The pool was huge and bar and restaurant area were great. Fab location for the safaris. Breakfast was great,though due to safaris, we only ate once. Their breakfast package wasn't brilliant which was a shame. Take some of your own snacks if you're doing a whole day safari. Lunches and evening meals were really tasty

Wild Culture Hotel is set in the tranquil countryside of Yala. The hotel has beautifully designed and excellently equipped and spotlessly maintained rooms. An amazing pool, great food and charming staff. Shehan will conjure up a bespoke cocktail from his repertoire whilst Upul delivers the food with great enjoyment. The food is fabulous and caters for all tastes. The Sri Lankan curry whether meat, fish or vegetarian is delicious. In fairness we have stayed is some exceptional hotels in Sri Lanka. Wild Culture is right up there and will be remembered for being very very good at looking after its guests.

Really amazing. Only 25 mins from park entrance yet surrounded by paddy fields, large gardens and 2 pools for 8 rooms. Pool bar area and main restaurant are lovely and the night time fire lighting ceremony is unique. I enjoyed the cuisine. Stayed in a room (not suite) and the view was wonderful. Went into the park once so able to relax all day by the pool.

This is the best place I have ever stayed. Amazing rooms with views, great food and lovely people! From arrival everything was perfect. The staff here are brilliant, Upul & Pradeep made our stay extra special! I can’t wait to come back.

We made a late booking for 2 nights at Wild Culture , I cannot fault this place, the ambience and the staff make this a true home from home experience. The pool is large and clean ,and the architectural designs and interior, from the public areas to the rooms are absolutely stunning. The food is another big plus, each dish cooked with passion and the chef seriously knows his business, on the first night I had mixed seafood platter and the tuna steak/ prawns/ calamari were all cooked to perfection. All the staff are lovely and can’t do enough to help you, we particularly liked the 2 bar guys who looked after us and our son around the pool. The hotel offers safari tours in Yala, but we had done these before ,and needed a relaxing time after quite a bit of travelling. The general manager is an expert wildlife photographer, which can be seen in his photos all around the hotel with his passion for Yala and the wildlife clear to be seen! Would highly recommend this hotel !

Wild Culture Yala is a wonderful boutique hotel and a fantastic place to base yourself whilst in Yala. Vassa (the GM) and the team are fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and they were superb with our two little ones. The rooms are huge and luxurious, the pool is massive and a great place to chill out. The food is superb and the team are on hand to make sure you want for nothing. We went out on safari twice, Vassa was kind enough to jump in as our guide and what a guide to have! Such a fountain of knowledge, a keen photographer and explained to use the real dilemma of the park, with a need for people to make a living but also the conservation of the park and the animals. We had a wonderful family break and will be back for sure. Highly recommend Wild Culture and the team as your base whilst in Yala.
